Two Wheels Forever!!!
So there has been alot of discussion about if you remove your passenger pegs on the 09 R1 the sub frame is weakend and thats why yamaha put the extra brace there. They changed the sub-frame from Aluminum to Magnesium this year.
Just in case it is true I came up with a plan for removing the pegs but retaining the brace effect of the pegs. :thumbup
I got an extra set of pegs and went at it!!
I actually made two sets. The first 3 pics are of a set for when I finish my Rear Resevoir/Master Cylinder all in one project.
The pics of the pegs off the bike is using a set of braces that I made retaining the stock mounting point for the stock Rear Brake Resevoir.
Not bad for a hack saw, angle grinder and a rattle can of flat black.
