Escort 8500 Question

I just installed an 8500 and used the Escort motorcycle adapter to connect it to the Audiovox, which is a ground loop isolator audio cable. It worked for one day and quit. Seems the adaptor cable is FUBARed.

Has anyone else used this cable sucessfully? Did I just get a bad one?

Try a dab of dielectric grease on the cable end, going into the 8500.

I didn't buy one. I just bought the Mixit2.

I heard the cord was really just a patch and didn'ty solve the issue.
