I solicited some feedback prior to Christmas regarding the Dual Stars vs. heated gloves. I elected to go with the heated grips. Got them installed, and have been held off from riding for various reasons until today.
I really like them so far. Good way to spend $35, plus the HeatTroller.
It wasn't terribly cold at 39 degrees, but my hands felt good. Not that they didn't get cool/cold, but they didn't freeze like I've had happen.
I wired them to give me 31 watts on the clutch side and 17 on the throttle side, with the HeatTroller for "fine tuning".
Aside from wishing the throttle side got a little warmer (despite not being a heat sink like the left handlebar), I'm quite pleased with them.
