Motorcyclist Fleeing State Police Severed At Waist In Crash

The title just about says all you need to know. I did find this little section of the article to contain some irony:

"State police 1st Lt. David Sxxxx tells the newspaper that resulted in Henry being “cut in half at the waist.”

Henry was not wearing a helmet."

Not sure a helmet would have helped in this case. Full story here.....

Similarly a man was killed about a month ago around here. He was not running, but a man was mowing the roadside ditch with a large tractor and pulled onto the road to turn around. The man in the tractor did not see the motorcycle coming behind him at a high rate of speed. The man on the cycle was basically decapitated by the bucket in the front of the tractor. He was wearing a helmet and proper gear. Very sad for sure.

+1 on the leaving of dependent and family to pick up the pieces. They are the ones who have to live with the grief.

Several years back in the Boston area, a guy who had an arrest warrant, tried to flee the police (in a car). He ended up crashing and later died. His family blamed the police for chasing him even though he was wanted!

Tragically, this biker is another Darwin award recipient.
