Our trip is 15 days, If you are in the area lemme know , maybe a story/ BS time.

The 1300 is staying home and will be on the FJ09

Whats your ferry plan?
The BC ferries are in their usual summer messed up state. Many canceled sailings due to staff shortages, and/or reduced capacity for the same reason.
Suggest Pt Angeles to Victoria to get to the Island. You get the border crossing out of the way at the same time. If you choose this, think about west side 101 and Neah Bay, you cant get further west in the continental USA. (And ride by the Valley of the Giants)
Then you have 3 choices leaving.
Consider Duke Point (near Nanaimo) to Tsawwassen, it will be the least busy terminal. Older smaller ferries; none have sunk yet.
For scenery, Victoria to Tsawwassen is the best choice.
Unless its long weekend crazy busy, motorcycles get priority boarding.
If you can fit it in, visit Long Beach on the Island.
Sorry for planning your trip for you :)

Nice time of year, should be a great trip! WA ferries are as messed up as sapest indicates BC ferries are. Was going to suggest Anacortes ferry to get to the Island but honestly it's six-of-one depending on the day.

If you get into a bind, the PNW gang has tire changing / balancing equipment from Auburn to Stanwood. Give a shout if need arises. Have a safe trip!

I'm thinking no WA State Ferry.
"Roughly a century ago, a ferry service was established between Anacortes and Sidney. The service was suspended in 2020, and last week, Washington State Ferries said the ferry route would not return until 2030 at the earliest."

Just checking in on this post,- super busy over here

Thanks for the tips, appreciated
