I will be coming down to West Palm Beach to visit my son January 7th through the 14th. While I am visiting I am planning on attending the Miami International Motorcycle show one day. Another thing on my wish list is to possibly rent a bike and ride down to Key West for the day. My son has sent me a link to a rental company called Rent My Motorcycle or RMM Rentals & Tours. Is anybody in the West Palm Beach area familiar with this company or recommend another motorcycle rental company in the area?

If you want to ride the Keys, pm 101stpathfinder. He enjoys taking new visitors down that way, if he is available!

I've never heard of them either. I'll take a little ride over there today and check them out. I'll report back. :)
Gotta like the responses from forum members!

I'll assume that you're leaning toward the BMWs?

Most likely one of the BMWs although I have always wanted to ride a roadglide. My wife rides a Harley and has all the clothes that say Harley on them. All I have to do is tie a hanky around my head, cut off my sleeves, throw to ole lady on the back and hit the Keys.

:D :D :D Yeah, I guess you can also wear an eyepatch and say: "Aye Matey" for a few days. That'll fit right in nicely in the Keys. I just got back from Rent My Motorcycle. Looks like a stand up shop. All the bikes look new. He has everything on his brochure. I told him about you timeframe, Jan 7-14 and he said if you want a particular model for a curtain set of days all you have to do is reserve it with a deposit and the bike will waiting for you. If anyone calls for it on the same days, you're the one that gets it. Looks like this will work out nicely. Sounds like fun. Don't know if I'll be able to make the Key West trip with you due to most of my crew will still be on their Christmas vacations and I might be the only one available for emergency calls but, if I pre plan, I might just pull it off. Either way, give me a Holla. I'll buy you and your Harley riding ole lady a beer or two(ish). We'll talk soon if you need anything else. :)

Holy smokes majicmaker! I value other peoples time, and didn't expect someone to go check the place out in person. I just thought someone might have some inside knowledge from the West Palm Beach area. Your actions are above and beyond the call of duty.

Thanks a bunch!

We don't have any firm plans for our week in Florida but since my whole family rides, a bike trip to Key West might be in the cards. I will keep you informed as our plans firm up this week.

+1 (PM me)

The company is just a few miles away from me and yet I have never heard of them… sorry.
Thanks Tony but it looks like majicmaker went way out of his way and gave me the info I was looking for.

I love forums like this. People actually know each other, ride with each other, and do favors for each other in real life!!! Nice job Vic.

I too live in that general area and am around WPB all the time, but have never heard of the company.

The Keys are awesome, but keep in mind that during that time of year they are going to be crowded and expensive. It would probably be in your best interest to already have reservations.

Keep in mind there is one road in and one road out. So if it's busy just sit back and observe Island time.

Personally I love riding down there. The start of the keys is only about 2.5 hours from me. So I even do day rides down there from time to time.

Let me know if you need any local road knowledge of south Florida.

Flatistani boys representing! Abercrombie, these guys are great, and know S. FL. like the back of their hands. They won't steer you wrong. Be prepared to spend some moolah, especially in KW, but also some fun times. Enjoy!

Not a problem, Abercrombie. I've been a fan of yours since forever. I can also point you toward some killer seafood / Tiki bars on the water that you'll thoroughly enjoy. We have a bunch of them near by.

I'll be down that way in February. Not likely to rent a bike but I love me some Tiki bar action so point away!

If you get liquid sunshine (rain), native american casinos are plentiful, some with interesting (for Florida) roads leading to them.

Thanks for the tip sportster, but I have a motorcycle addiction that takes up most of my money. Someone else will have to pay keep those Native American Casino doors open.
