My Linda passed her riding test to get her endoresment her in Oregon. We got her a 250cc bike to get started on and she doe ok. She says she would like some reading or dvds that might help her inprove. Any thing you might sugest. Would the Ride Like a Pro be a good choice.

For a book for beginners it's hard to beat Proficient Motorcycling by David Hough.

Everyone would do well to read it.

If she wants to learn more about the how and why of riding, my favorites in order are:

Sport Riding Techniques by Nick Iasentach

Total Control by Lee Parks

Twist of the Wrist (I and II) by Kieth Code

Smooth Riding by Reggie Pridmore

Nick's is the best is my opinion, but we all learn differently and you may like one of the others more.

Keith Condon's DVD/Book riding in the Zone is pretty good. I agree with the other choices such as total control, proficient Motorcycling. I would also agree with a class once she has some miles. I am not a big fan of the ERC, I am going to take Total Control or Street Skills in Tacoma later this season.
