Anyone interested in a group ride on July 18? Since Johhny80s and friends will be camping up at the Laguna Mountains that night, we can get a group of non-campers and spend the day with the campers on a San Diego area ride.

Santa Fe Dreaming (camper) graciously offered to lead the ride. Possible routes include Palomar Mountain, Mesa Grande, Wynola, Julian (pie!), Lake Cuyamaca...? And Johhny80s' (camper) new favorite road, Old Julian Hwy.

Any non-camper interest?

Neil (non-camper)

Neil, you ball-buster. I was all set to do the camping thing with the others and MsNascar saw your riders only post and she jumped all over it. Now I have to cancel the camping so she can join in with the non-camp riders. Shhhhh! <_<

Send her home on the back Jordylad's bike and you stay and camp with us. Problem solved. :D

Neil,

Problem solved, my sleepingbag is packed, I'll be on the ground Saturday night.

Hope everyone has a fun safe camping/riding trip. Post up lotsa pics so I have something to look at from the other side of the world. :dribble:

How about if we trade pictures with your little adventure?

Sure no problem. But remember I am not in paradise here. These are my favorites so far. The only thing that makes coming here tolerable is the fact that its only for a month (a long ass month) and the rest of the year I work from home

Sorry for the thread hijack.

Did somebody kidnap you off to the third world? Where are you? We will send someone for you? How much is the ransom?

Don't let them know you have internet access. Keep communicating with us until the troops arrive to liberate you.

How about this for a route.

Meet somewhere near Fallbrook. Take the 76 past Pala casino, to Mount Palomar. The the south grade (which is acutally on the west side - WTF?!) up to the top, and then take the east grade (which is actually on the south side - WTF?!) down. Take the Mesa Grande loop, and on to Santa Ysabel, and up towards Julian. Cut off at Wynola road for the run into Julian. Take the 79 down past Lake Cuyamaca. Left (east) on Old Hwy 80 and thru Pine Valley. Left (north) on Sunrise Hwy and up to Laguna Mountain to drop off the campers.

Lunch in Julian. Another option could be the buffet at the Santa Ysabel Indian Casino. or...?

Or other ideas?

Sounds good so far. When placing your lunch/dinner orders, how about ordering extra meals and swing back around to us campers for delivery. It would be greatly appreciated. :drinks:

You looking for dinners that can be consumed from a bottle...? Can do! :D
