I have had the SPOT-1 for 8 years. Recently I drank the cool-aid and "upgraded" to the SPOT 3. Well IMHO the SPOT-1 is just as good as the 3. The 3 has a few more features. Battery life on the 1 is outstanding. I'm offering the SPOT-1 to someone that will use free- postage only. This includes the ram mount, minus the ball. Don't forget that you have to subscribe to the service in order to use it. If your going to EOM I can bring it with me and you'll pay nothing. Let me know. George
