Staintune exhaust slip-ons for sale **SOLD!**

Here's a set of Staintune slip-ons for sale. I purchased these about 6 months ago from a Craigslist ad. I had them on my FJR and really liked them but really could use the money for other things.

Advantage of Staintunes:

- Very rare due to their cost

- Excellent sound

- Option of having the silencer in or not

- OEM type 'hard' mounting system

- Beautiful chrome finish

- They will NEVER need re-packing

This set is in very good to excellent condition with one exception I'll get to. They have some very minor flaws here and there if you are really looking for them. Mounted on the FJR they look perfect.

The one exception is that the inside of the left pipe has a dent. Looks like it was rubbing on the swingarm as it moved up and down. I don't think it is all that big a deal as it's really not visible once it is mounted. I tried to get as good of photos of it as I could but these things are so shiny they are tough to get good photos of.

Price: $800 + shipping. I'm having trouble figuring out a fair price for these things. So far, best I could come with is that they are $1550 brand new.

What's the noise factor? Significantly louder than stock with the 'silencer' in?

With the silencer in I would say they are just a bit louder than stock, but with a throatier sound. Much better sound than OEM.

With the silencer out, sound level is on par with your 'typical' slip-ons, though I would say slightly lower than the Holeshots I have, and definitely lower than the D&D slip-ons I have heard. I ran them a few days with the silencers in, then took them out and left them that way. I like a bit of sound.

What is great is having the choice.

And they do look swell mounted on the FJR. I forgot to take photos when I had them mounted.

i had a set on my DL1000. very noticable without the silencers. they had a really great sound on the V-twin. really great set of cans IMHO.

They are actually polished stainless steel, not chrome. A better material choice as you can bring the polish back up if you need to. From their website..........

CA Gentlemen will be riding with we Zonies for a few weeks in May and then is heading up to NAFO in Castlegar, British Columbia. He's trailering his FJR and will be heading back to Pickering, ON late June. As long as he doesn't get stung for customs fees & costs!

Yes, the shipping would be a killer on the exhaust, due to the size and weight. USPS definately is the better option for shipping, but I recently was burned by the government on taxes. I picked up a seat from another forum member and when I went to pick it up at the post office there was a charge of $78 owing for our F*#%^G HST tax. I disputed the charge, which entailed getting the forum member to write a letter on my behalf, stating the seat was indeed a used seat, but I still ended up paying an additional $40 on top of the shipping I paid. Basically it ends up being a crap shoot any way you cut it. Now if Skooter can bring them to me whem I'm at the Laconia Bike rally in June, then I can mount them and no ones the wiser!lol :biggrinsmiley: Oh well I guess it stockers for a while yet. Maybe the Trooper mod is the way to go, but I really need to hear it in person before I cut.

I was thinking the exact same thing. It would take 15 minutes to exchange them in a parking lot.

On the serious side, SkooterG do you need to run a fuel processor, like a PCIII, with a custom map so the Staintune exhaust run properly, and does the O2 sensor have to be disconnected? I don't have much experience on this stuff so I have to ask.
