I was at the Willville Motorcycle Campground in southern VA last weekend and ran into Steve Kirkendoll of Draggin Parts Videos

He was on a 2005 V-Strom 650 that had 102,000 miles on it

Steve lives in Indianapolis, IN and also works a full-time job as a heavy equipment mechanic. He had pulled into the campground about 6:00 Sat evening. He left camp about 7:30 Sun. morning headed for Deals Gap, and then back home to Indianapolis on Monday.

Funny looking V-Strom  . Looks like he farkled it all the way to a Goldwing

Some people are made of stronger steel

And that picture isn't taken at Willville, either. So Gary, you feelin' ok mister?

That's what I was thinking!

Do you guys know how to right click? That photo is off the dude's website (if the border didn't give it away  ) What Gary is saying is that he met this gent on a DL650 and found out who he was and linked us up. What, is this so hard to comprehend? Sheesh.

Thanks TWN. I should have been a little clearer on my first post. BTW he said his 'Wing was in the shop for service. Its got something like 300K+ miles on it

I'll attribute it to the fact that I'm just a hick from Nevada ...but this thread has me confused.

Are you guys saying he rides the Goldwing but keeps the women's version of the strom (650) in the Gwing's tailcase should he need it? (ie: while the wing is getting serviced)

Makes sense to me

...well except for the fact that he appears to be kind of a "manly" man ...yet you're saying he rides the 650 and not the men's version?? that part doesn't make sense.

LOL, thanks for the fun ......hey seriously, is there anything saying that this guy rides a strom? I didn't see anything on a quick scan of his site. I will say, he seems to wear that goldwing pretty well. I"m not saying he doesn't but yet I see no mention of it. Over 100K there should at least be a picture(?).

My right click works great. Didn't know that a border around a picture signifies "website".

Oh I understand how to right click on a picture... go to properties and find out where it came from.

But why when FJR gary gave us the link... in fact two links. One where he stayed and the other link to the guys web site...

Not a tough crowd.... just pulling a little here TWN ... and it worked :)

I have a friend that rides a Valkyrie. He's retired and has been on the road for the past 3 years. He has 355,000 miles on his Valk. He recently left here and is headed out west again. Now there's a rider for ya!
