Yamaha trunk mount is broken

The dealer replaced it at no charge the 1st time and it was broken where the two halves are epoxied together. I bought the bike used so I don't know how the PO used the trunk. I now have the same problem with the replacement mount and I know that the heaviest item put in the trunk is a helmet (only for storage and not transport). Anybody else had this problem with the Yamaha mount?

Is the second mount the upgraded one or the same design as the first. The upgrade also includes a metal plate secured to the bottom of your top box. I have both if you need a picture to verify.

My box came from the PO with a metal plate, the plastic mount was the same for the original and the replacement.

I have the OEM mount, also from a PO, and would love to see pics of the break if you have one.
