Thanks to Smitty AKA smitty141 for putting my FJR in his truck and transporting it to his house wher he removed forks and shock. I got in on the Group buy and cant wait to get these upgrades fo this years riding.

So thanks To Smitty for gettin my stuff off and Warchild for setting up the group buy. :clapping: :yahoo:

Oh buy the way there Mr Warchild funds are a little tight right now with Christmas so how about a little down time before the next BUY :D

Smitty rocks! Wish he lived closer - I'd keep him permanently employed keeping all the vechicles running...

I stripped mine off yesterday after I got back from KJ's BBQ. Spent about 40 minutes to strip 'em off and another 40 to clean everything up. Looked all purty and almost new when I got done! My, but it sure looks silly without it's 'spenders!

$72.55 packaged, ground shipped and insured (for 2K) through The UPS Store.

You guys have been contacted by the shop about the group buy? I still have not received any info about how to pay???

I know they got my order though!

They sent me an email. With instructions. I called them to discuss some things. As far as payment they call you for CC # before they ship them out to you. They seem to be very good in communication. I would give them a call.

I guess I get a good deal on UPS because my company has an account. We ship every day. I insured for 2200.00 and my charge was only 35.00. I did my own packaging.

Keithaba,

I got a phone call 12/11 and returned it. They took some info on riding style, weight, etc. etc. and asked for a CC#. He said they were getting more springs ordered in.

I have a guy locally working on the bike and asked him Friday to pull the forks. Wife and I are heading up to Portland for the weekend to drop off the forks and use it as an excuse for some R&R in the big city.

Oh, and Warchild........don't wait TOO long on the next buy :) But maybe a tad cheaper on the wallet, ok? ;)

Does anybody know what the charge is for just the fork rebuild on the GB, I must have missed it.

I'll be sending in my forks probably thursday.

BTW Thanks WC for setting this up, I've been hoping this would happen!

Happy Holidays!

Shipped my forks out yesterday. :yahoo:

Thanks WC for setting up the GB :clapping:

GPS called me, left vmail which I returned. I'm having the shock shipped, will install myself. They said no problem with riding up later in the year (April, May) for getting the forks done.

Is there a cut off date to have the forks in by? I was supposed to have all of tomarrow off and now with some kid stuff and my boss wants me to deliver a plane to Calgary on Friday, so I'm not sure if I can get the forks out by Christmas.

This is my first GB dive and I'm not sure how stingent things are and I don't want to piss anybody off-

Chalk me up as another person who hasn't heard from them....

Groo, they sent out a blanket email directing you to the website to fill out the form for inclusion in your package. You didn't get that?
Got that... but it didn't say when they wanted them, what the timing was for delivery, how long it would take to do the work, how payment was arranged, and a number of other questions I thought they'd want/need to answer before we got started, especially since Dale made a couple of references to them contacting us in the GB thread. Plus, I responded to that email with some of the questions above, and haven't heard back.

When I received that E-Mail I called Dave and spoke to him about the details. He istructed me to ship to him as soon as I wanted but I didnt ask about a cutoff time so I,m not sure on that. I can tell you he was very good to talk too and most helpfull on the phone with my dumb questions. I would call him.

I e-mailed them and asked if it would be a problem if I waited till after Christmas until I sent out my Wilber shock for service. Dave replied it was not a problem. As for other cutoff dates, I'm not sure but if you e-mail them he usually replies quick, at least he has for me). YMMV
