started as a 99 naked sv650. svs conversion, after market body, 04 gsxr750 front end, r6 swingarm, r6 rims, ect. Wish I still had it, but was just too uncomfortable for anything more than an hour

FJR will fix that!
I don't know about that. The SV is more fun for me solo than the FJR. But, traveling two up with camping junk on an SV isn't realistic IMO. I do nothing but look at new SVs and well now I am looking at Maybe a Bandit. Naked upright 1250 hmmmm. :clapping:

The SV may be a little more fun for me too...in the twisties. However, for mile-munching the SV isn't even remotely close...apples and oranges. I'll take the FJR anytime I plan to ride for more than a few hours. Pain is NOT fun.

this is my TLR

cans, PCIIIusb, TRE w/ gear indicator, Speigler handlebar kit, dry nitrous, venture rack.

My daughter SV the day we got it, after a few mods, then in it's final configuration, with a Naked SV front triple and dirt bike style bars , made it so much easier and more comfortable for her to ride. oh and notice how she customized her tank with her name, I thought it was pretty clever.

A bit late to this party but here is my new toy/tracktool - '02 that led a previous racing life. Very different riding to work on this but quite fun. Getting back on the FJR after a few days on this thing, you really notice the "heft" of our big Feejer!

I had a TL1000 give me a pretty good run for my money when I was on my Hayabusa, we started off at about a 20MPH or so roll, he was hanging pretty good then I thought I was loosing him, I looked back in my mirror and didn't see him, so i thought he must have backed off and I lost him, then I noticed he was right on my butt just off to one side in my blind spot, I couldn't believe how fast it was up to about 130 mph, then it was all over. See ya.

Nice bike, and it looked just like yours.

+1 on your beautiful SV Scooby.

Got a question about the 2009 Mars rover. I didn't see any solar panels. What's the power source?

The reason I bought my FJR about three weeks after I got out of the hospital with a triple fractured pelvis. Ouch. Oh well my insurance paid for about half of it.
Would ya believe that the insurance company totaled it?????
Let me guess: The car made a left turn in front of you?
Nope, I downshifted an extra gear or 2 with my oversized workboots on going into an offramp like a typical squid way too fast and the back tire locked up when I dumped the clutch . Had two choices : take a high side into the guard rail at about 65 or exit the ramp using the non conventional method! I picked number two, and took a short flight to the ground 20 feet down. Man was I pissed! While in the air, the thought never occurred to me that I might be about to die, I just kept thinking,"oh great, I'm going to be late for work.: yeah about 6 weeks late!

Live and learn. I panicked instead of trying to throttle out of it. But I can't say for sure how it would have ended that way anthow

Um WOW! I have SV Envy. I tried to buy mine back from the Boy. He won't here of it. I gotta find another. Can you just build me one of them up?
For the right amount of money anything is possible... :D
I all ready have a Yeller '04 lined up, if it don't sell before I get the cash. I'll begin to personallize,,,, But, no where near the talent you have. Great Job!

Ok guys....

Not strictly an SV question....

but... since you're into Zuke's....

I'm looking for a smaller version of the FJR...

One suggestion was the GSX650F, basically the 650 Bandit renamed....

Had a lowered 1200 Bandit, looking for something a little smaller sizewise (not necessarily speed wise>><BG>)

The GSX650F is already low enfu, I could just add risers and some luggage.

And I think it would work ok on the gravel roads here in Texas....

I'm only 5'6" with a 29-30 " inseam.

The GSX650F looks nice, but I think it's way too much sportbike seating... as in short rides only.

Thots?

Thanks

Mary
