    2013 Team Lyle Nevada Stampede

Thanks Doug, Brian, and Greg for organizing this event again. I had a blest last year. What is a Mileage Coach? Sounds very interesting.......Never heard that term before...is it like a life coach or something to help us poor souls get through a lot of miles in a 24 hour period? How do I...

    SS1000 and BMR

So, Thursday I woke up early to ride across Tehachapi (Hwy 58) in Central California. It was low 30's when I left my house. Forecast was for some snow across the pass. Overcast, but not snow. But the temp was 21 degrees. Met a riding friend at Hwy 58 and Hwy 14 for some bonus hunting across...

    New BMW 1000 RR

Some insurance companies have covered the wrecked bike at the track, leathers, and helmet. Those particular incidents happened at Streets of Willow at Reg Pridmore's CLASS. Which is termed a Street Riding School. My friends who crashed had their bikes and gear covered by the insurance...

    New BMW 1000 RR

The crash was caused by the tires????!!!!! Geez if I always went with Dunlop's or Michelin's I would never crash...cool! I've never put my S1000 in slick mode, even at the track. Because it requires removing the seat and I'm not good enough to wring it out without the rider aids some...

    SS1000

Doug, SkooterG did not meet me. So, I just gassed and went! gixxerjasen, I total my street miles on Oct 15th of each year. I chose that date because I bought my very first street bike October 15, 2010. 10/15/2011 - 10/15/2012: 53,643 miles

    SS1000

Just got home. Was a nice ride. 1,100 miles in about 17 hours. Easy leasure pace. I'm going to chill for 3 or 4 weeks with certified rides. Just putt around on the bikes and smell the roses or something. That puts a nice end to 2012 with 15 certs in the calendar year. Will start again...

    SS1000

Readily accessible in the tank bag! For a 1000cc bike it is fairly buzzy....I think it has something to do with it's no compromise racing design!

    SS1000

    My Ss1000 Attempt

Congratulations E.T. on a successful SS1000! I hope I'm not going to be to blame for starting your insanity when it takes over all your waking moments. Well done! I remember my first SS1000 about 18 months ago on a Goldwing. Since then it has pretty much taken over my life. Planning the...

    SS2000 Gold Attempt

Not a lot of people have certified a SS2000 Gold, which surprises me. That is one reason I wanted to give it a shot. I'll never, ever be able to make SkooterG time in any of my rides, but that's totally ok with me. SkooterG, I'm at my office and just finished watching Hard Miles and Hard...

    SS2000 Gold Attempt

I want to thank all for the support and interest in my ride. Doug, you are such a great friend. Keeping me company and following along was great! Again, many, many thanks! I did complete the BBG with about 45 min to spare. After that I had quite a bit of time banked for the SS2000 Gold. I...
