So the plan as it stands now is for a small group to ride from Mike to IHOP in Orlando for breakfast, then to the Yamaha thingy at the AIM event. What time are you planning on leaving Mims?
We have to leave here by 7 to be @ IHOP by 8. Oh, and bring your Sunpass, that's the quickest way over; if not then either pay at the toll booths (not bad if no traffic/lines) or do the Colonial Dr stoplight dance for a long ways!I guess we need to find out when AIM expo opens and if where we need to go is outside (I'd think so if they're doing demos!). That's a quick drop down I-4 to the Beachline, or maybe there's a good in-town non freeway route, but as far as I know we're back in lights again getting down there w/o lotsa lights.I'll need to leave there @ 10 to make the Flagler beach thing @ 11, then can meet back up with everyone else somewhere in Daytona after that - probably 2 or so I'd guess.
Ok fljab, I'll make sure I'm in Mims by 7. Maybe a little bit earlier than that. Send me an address so I can gps my way to it. I don't usually get up that early but, this will be fun and worth it. :)

Where in the big town do you want to meet? I can be there 6:45 or so very easy. No SunPass, I try to stay off the super slab, especially the ones that the socialist in Tally charge you to use. I'll take my chance with the cash lane.

Not sure of plans after breakfast. Might just run up to Daytona to start working the vendors for stuff for next year's EOM as i told extreme marine(Wayne) that I would do during Biketoberfest and BikeWeek.

See all in a short time.

I sent you a PM - linked the google map to my house.

If you don't want to pay the $$ for the toll road, choices are do Colonial all the way to IHOP, or take SR44 to I-4 to downtown Orlando.

Let us know

Responded to your PM and meeting in Mind works fine. We can make the toll road work out. Looking x forward to this event. See all of you soon.

I was asked on PM what I was thinking to get to the IHOP from Mims.

My thoughts are to take I-95 to SR 50, head west through Bithlo until the toll road starts just before Alafaya Trail. Toll road (aka 408) to the Mills Ave exit 118, then north on either Mills or even Summerlin which comes out on Colonial across from the IHOP.

Getting down to the show would be getting to I-4 and heading west - which is more south through Orlando - and getting off @ Sand Lake Road.

Jim,

Have you considered the time from the breakfast meet-up to the Flagler RTE? It's looks to be maybe an hour for the show. I am thinking of doing the breakfast in Orlando, then heading north to Flagler, then south to the track and meet up with the FJR riders there again.

$15 seems steep for 1 hour at The show. I would like to do the farkle shopping either at the track, or backtrack back to Orlando for a longer visit- or a Sunday visit (?)

Less than 2 weeks !

I am looking forward to this.

I decided to head back up the following day ( Sunday) to catch everything that I miss on Saturday.

Might even take the Gen 2 up with the wife on Sunday.

Who is in? Looks like 5-10 of us?

Here's a link to an Orlando Sentinal article about the upcoming Expo in Orlando.

Here's a link to the hours they're open to the public and tickets for sale. I know nothing about the website, buyer beware.

I'm thinking that Saturday might be the better time to go to the show as opposed to Sunday. They're open till 10 Saturday night, but only open till 5 on Sunday.

I haven't been keeping up, but to answer a couple of things -

Yes, it's ~1 hour from Mims to IHOP, and from IHOP to Flagler. And yes, I agree, $15 for limited time at the AIMExpo is probably not in my plans either; $15 certainly won't break me, but just don't think it's doable for me. I can't go Sunday as I have a commitment and from looking at the show website, Friday is for trade representatives so I guess I'm not going to it at all.

My plans are this - and everyone else do what you think is right for you!

> Tony, let me know how you want to do the tire install, we can do it early if that would help. Regardless, I plan to be in beautiful downtown Mims NLT 0700 to meet up and ride to IHOP with whoever didn't come to my house.

> Meet up @ IHOP. I'll be skipping the AIME show, so this allows extra time at the restaurant for breakfast and whatnot.

> Head to Flagler from IHOP. We don't really need to be there until 11, so if we're way early maybe do a little side trip on the way there? Like maybe riding though Bulow/Tomoka park? Suggestions welcome, but that's basically on the way and can get off @ SR40, US1, or Old Dixie Hwy depending on how we're doing time-wise.

> After the Flagler Bch RTE, then head to the track/DIS and the Yamaha tent, or TB for whoever goes there. OR, the TB crowd could plan on being at the Yamaha tent by maybe 2? That should work out.

Input welcome - what do you all think? As I said, this is what I am going to do. Everyone else do what you think is right and I'm sure we'll hook up either @ IHOP and/or the Yamaha tent @ DIS.

Sounds good to me Jim.

Not too concerned with the tire swap out, I got tired of the slow leak and plugged it. It is holding up fine for now and I still have a few miles to put on the tire.

We can plan a tire swap when you have some free time. I want to check out the yamaha and Can Am tents, along with Givi and warm 'n safe. I will probably

leave here around 4am to give me plenty of time.

Well guys, things are looking pretty good for joining in on Thursday’s ride. I’ve haven’t done one of the bike meets at Daytona in quite a few years so I’m looking forward to that (but I’m hoping crowds will be light on Thurs).

I plan to meet you all at Ihop at 8:00. And I’ll let you know if plans fall through.

Any word from Pale Rider (Dave) yet?

The dates were posted wrong on his initial posting. I believe we are on for Saturday.

Dave posted awhile back that he would be there.

He was considering riding to Tampa later on Saturday for other activities.

Thank 101st. Sorry, I saw the 17th posted just above a few replies by majicmaker (#89). Are you sure everyone is on the same page here?

I've been under the impression that meeting at Jim's house at 7am was on Thursday the 17th. I've mentioned it serveral times so there would be no confusion. Have I been wrong all this time?
