What are some good choices for handgrips to reduce vibration and a throttle lock to a 2006 FJR? Thanks

BMW sport grips or grip puppies are both popular

Vista cruise, Throttlemiester or a true cruise control like Audiovox cruise control

I highly recommend the VistaCruise and Tacki Grandtouring grips.

Tried the BMW sport grips and though better than stock, they were not to my liking. Many do like them however.

I also tried the Throttlemeister and thinks it's the biggest waste of money. Expensive and difficult to engage. Again, others will disagree.

Tacki-Grips and Vista cruise has worked well for me. You'll also see a Throttlemeister on the end of the bar. Sold the Throttlemeister, kept the Vista Cruise. By the way, there's more than one version of the Vista Cruise. IIRC, this one is the "universal" model.

Where is a good place to pick this up?Do you have a link?
You might try Mike Kolstad at University Motors. He usually beats everything. Parts411.com would be worth a look also.

HERE is a link for the Tacki grips

HERE is a link for the Vista-Cruise - though you could probably find better.

There are several models of the VC that you can choose. The 'Universal' that steve shows above, the Yammie model that Warchild shows how to install HERE, or the Honda model that I have done a drill-less install with that I detail HERE.

I have installed and used Throttlemeisters on BMWs, an FZ1, and my 07 FJR. Properly installed and adjusted, they work well and help reduce vibration since they are heavier than the standard bar end weights. I like BMW sport grips and Gel Grips from Pro Grip. Have not tried Grip Puppies.

I have the breakaway,it is first class and looks great

Had a vista cruise on another bike and it worked fine but I really like that when I tap the break it release

A very nice feature.

On thing I did not like was the grip get moved out and the spacer they supply is quite smaller then the grip - I guess this is so it will not hinder throtle movement but not real nice for the apperance.

I may have a buddy see if he can make me a larger one out of a chunk teflon

Later
