If there was one album, to make everyone here listen to, what would it be?

So many good selections for so many good reasons, but the first thought that came in to my mind when reading your topic was "Stephen Stills", the first solo album.

Now I am wondering "What condition the listener might be in?"

Sooo many selections for so many moods...

OK - Dire Straits "Making Movies"

I'm actually listening to some John Denver at this time.

And now this post is in deep trouble... Stills (CSN&Y) and Skynyrd on the same page? There is trouble brewing there!

Springsteen Born to run. I go 20mph faster wen that song rolls around.

Albums. Now that's a tough question. If popularity can be gauged by sales, then Jackson's "Thriller" would take the cake as it sold more copies than any other in history. But for me, it all started with the British invasion, and for the most part, that started with the the Beatles. I'd have to chose the Beatle's debut album, "Please Please Me."

Ya gotta admit that this was a pivotal moment in the history of music in America: everything changed after that. And for me, the spring of 63 was a real turning point. My girlfriend was crazy about the Beatles, and spent many hours teaching me how to dance listening to 45's also found on that album... on a little portable record player set in the middle of the floor of an unused upstairs room with a single lightbulb hanging from the ceiling. Oh the memories...

My selection would be...

Roy Buchanan
Sweet Dreams: The Anthology

H

This is a very easy question, so I'm surprised nobody so far has got it tight!!

Allman Brothers Live at the Filmore

Enough said. I know, I'm just a FNG!

ONE??!!

No way. I can think of 25 right off the top of my head. Some old, some new, but even if was only those 25 or double that, it wouldn't be worth it.

Music is amazing, and there truly is something for everyone and every mood.

One...Sheesh!!

Zilla, that is the point. There is so much great, beautiful music out there, that most of us can't pick one album. But, if you did, which one would you want everyone here to listen to?

Beemerdons, I understand the loud factor on that album.

Gary, the only logic in judging by popularity leaves you with one undeniable fact.....

McDonald's makes the most popular hamburger on the planet.

Personally, I wouldn't wipe my butt with one. Eat one????? I'd rather listen to "Thriller".
