If the color is correct, the FJR logos can be transferred from the silver panels. I sure hop Eric reports the color is a match!!
Are the FJR logos easy to remove with heat and a knife? They seem to be a solid gel-like substance but I wonder if one can remove them easily without damaging them and then re-glue them. Honestly the price of the replacement panels are reasonable but the logos are very expensive for what you get!

Here is a DIY using ColorRite paint. I bought 1 can of Base, 2 cans of Paint, 1 can of Clear Coat for a total of $134 including shipping and had enough to paint both side panels and the top center of my Shad 45 top box.

Excellent job, sets the bike off nicely!

Who makes that carbon fiber trim @ the bottom of the tank & where can it be ordered from? That also looks sharp.

Here is my thread about the carbon fiber weave vinyl where I started my farkling process. Post #17 lists the product. Others have ordered the same stuff and done similar customizing.

Got it - thanks much. Ed

Allen, That looks really good. When you eye ball it close up, is it a true match to the factory paint?
Yes, if you follow the instructions, which includes doing a test on the included card they send. This color requires a base first, which is similar to the silver side panel color, the metallic red, then the clear coat to achieve the proper match of color and gloss.

The Red looks good but damn, all that work you did with the carbon, then you painted it!

The carbon fiber weave on the side panels was only temporary until I could find the matching paint. I thought it looked good as well but I prefer those panels to match the rest off the bike's primary color.

I notice your top case mounting plate - is that for the Yamaha case ?

Nope, it's for a Shad45. I had a Yamaha top box but it was big, expensive and didn't hold much inside. Bought the Shad setup for less than what I sold the Yamaha!

Hijack: What slip-ons are those, did you have to reflash & if not, do the slip-ons cause fueling glitches? Thanks.

Red matches perfectly and the FJR logos came on the panels. Very happy partshark customer. Cheap, fast, perfect.

The logos came installed? That's great! What did you pay for both including shipping?
