I guess it's time to renew the scheduling question, huh? So I think it will be either the 6th of June or the 13th of June. I was originally aiming for the 13th, but I believe Ray had a conflict, and since he seems to be the 'master mechanic'/torque value Rainman, I want to try to entice him to return this year! How is the 6th for everyone?

So far 6 & 13 open here. So color me neutral.

Actually June 6th would work better for me since there is no dirt bike events scheduled the next day so I won't have to leave early like last year.

I'll just repeat my definition of expert...... an ex is a has-been, and a spert is a drip under pressure...... the 6th is better for me, but if I didn't make it, I'm sure the other mechanical minds are more than capable.

I had a great time last year and will commit for this year also. As long as the finalized date doesn't interfere with my son's graduation. I'll bring the tip jar for Laura's good cooking.

+1

Hey Mike,

maybe Laura could get the body shop to make a little modification to the stand and make it FJR suitable.

Hey Mike,

I'm good for the 6th or 13th.

BTW, My wife and I are looking forward to hanging with you, Laura, and everyone else headed to Wellsboro! 11 more weeks...

OK, so June 6th it will be! KJ was kind enough to set up a web site for this shindig, so we can keep track of who'all's coming and what they are planning on doing to their FJR.

Please take a minute to go to the WNY Tech Day II web site and register (fill out the required fields and look for Register link at bottom left of the page). Note that in addition to tent space in the yard, we DO have three beds and three sofa's (plus floor space) for anyone who wants to overnight at our place. Use the comments section at the bottom to let me know if you'd like that option and it's first-come-first-serve on that!

Hopefully the weather will be as perfect as it was last year, and Laura and I are looking forward to seeing familiar faces again and meeting new ones!

Mike

Mike,

I procured a jack just like that (free!) and it is virtually useless on the FJR with the flat bar lifting areas. I haven't done it yet, but plan to modify mine to fit the FJR. I have been utilizing the board across the pipes method. It just limits the work to one end at a time. I have the trailer hitch, so I need to get the rear wheel higher to remove it without having to remove the hitch. To do that I have to take the front wheel off first and then I lower the front forks to rest on a 1x3. This is all done on the center stand. The lift would make it much more convenient if I just had to jack it up one time.

I know I am definitely out for this one as we will be just returning from SW-FOG that weekend. Spanky and I will be making one of these eventually. Probably combine it with some more in depth sightseeing around the falls.

Hmmm, it let me register with NY as a test...
Fixed! Small glitch.

Also added a "What Gen is your FJR?" question, and, I registered #2 on the list behind you Mike.

Let me know if you want any changes, I can easily edit the DB on the fly.

Looks like you didn't put any options in there for Andy like stand around in Spam socks, drink beer, and watch someone else work on my bike. JS...

Spam socks? I must of missed those!

So Mike, we need a "Geek" option?
