Another thing I wouldn't mind is an FJR950 triple that weighs less than 500lbs wet. Make power to weight similar to the 1300 and make it as smooth as possible. Same design, just pint size it. Or have an FZ1 optional touring package (adj shield, lower pegs, adj bars, full fairing, bags)
I'd like the option of a 950 triple, with less weight and a lower seat height. I love everything about the bike I've got, once it's above 5mph. The only modifications I've got are a custom seat, dog-bone lowering kit, and heli-bar risers. A smaller, lighter FJR option would be perfect for me.

Oh God.............somebody please make it stoppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp.....................

Hey, isn’t today the 6th month anniversary of this thread? Can’t miss an opportunity like this to toss my hat in the ring. I’ll even make it simple for the PEG.

I’d like a comfortable, well-made, OEM seat. Also, to the powers that be, think black. As in beautiful high-gloss paint job.

Oh yeah, when do we start requests for the 09 model?

:bike:

Wait…what am I thinking? Maybe Ahamay’s “Ing ga neers” have been working on refinements for the 08 model since the release of the 06 cause their corporate “peekers” knew all along that big K would release a new ST this year. :unknw:

Yamaha will be looking hard at the new Connie, not to match it, but to beat it. I rode the Connie and it does a nice job, but Kawasaki is going to have to deal with the heat issue big time. I think the current FJR is just right, but the evolution will bring us some of the stuff now coming on the Connie, but I doubt a bigger mill will be part of it.

Stay tuned. Now can we finally put this thread to bed? Good night Dick .....

Dear Yamaha...since 1960 a biker, owned many, and relatively new time FJR1300A owner ('06 and '07 - tried twice with a Stratoliner S in between - Harley wannabe IMO)...go ride a BMW R1200RT or K1200LT like I have, copy them and the way they now run (after several BMW Factory improvements BTW) compared to your current FJR...my first Yamaha was a 80cc trail bike in 1965, had eight other Yamahas among several other brands since...this '07 Yamaha FJR I own = paid for, and available for replacement now or by '08...I'll order an '08 FJR or Venture this Fall if it looks like they're an improvement on my current ride...get out front or eat dog poop as we say in Alaska.

Dear Yamaha,

How about you keep this proven bike unchanged and offer it in a Metallic Black color.

:D :D :D :D :D :D

I'd like gold wing comfort, gsxr-750 handling, Paris-Drakkar rally capable, built in XM/GPS/Cell/Internet, under 300#, over 160HP, under $10K
other than that, can't think of too much.. oh yeah, current controlled color.
y'all forgot the important add: a Paris $ Hilton on the pillion.

How about a better ECM map or make it adjustable, or if it is now adjustable, tell us how to modify the settings!
'08 Busa has three custom maps selectable at the flip of a switch... (this is a footnote)

Cruise Control... The one reason I almost went with a BMW versus the FJR. In the end this forum led me to believe I could add one after market. All thing considered, lack of cruise control seems to be in contradiction to "touring" part of the FJR "sport-touring" moniker.CaryB
YUP..I agree here! They have it on the Venture but nothing else.HEY maybe sneak a Buell designed exhaust system in here so no more burned boots

Seeing just the thread title itself is like hearing Bon Jovi over the speakers in a store....

....Makes you want to light yourself on fire.

I aint knocking chicks doing that, but she aint special unless she is gonna pay my bike off for me. :p

The nearest you'll ever get to that would be to fill up with some Pemex premium.

While it's not quite "slut on the butt", it would be "skank in the tank." :)

On the AE Models, move the horn switch or the shift switch somewhere away from each other so that when a cager tries to cut me off I don't downshift instead of honking the horn. :angry2: Happened to me again this morning and all the guy could do was grin at me once I got up next to him. Stupid cager. :assassin:

NNNAAA I want FIRE ENGINE RED! :yahoo: Tom
Exactly!

Laffing... cute and quick witted.
