Is anyone actually even buying an AE anymore?

Man, I have to say I'm disappointed overall. If I lived somewhere where it didn't rain half the year, I'd be semi interested in a black motorcycle. Hmmm...call me in a year.

I would be willing to bet there were some pretty fair changes in these areas, too.... it's just that Yammy doesn't want to discuss them....

looks like the european stripes still exist. In the gallery, the windshield picture shows just the edge of the stripes.

And the plastic cover with the FJR logo here looks the same silver as before, must be lighting on the main picture showing it darker

I'm going to go out on a limb here. Since ravens are black and the picture of the '08 FJR is black...I'd say, black.

New grip picture on the european site:

Looks like the heated hand grips have external cables making throttle controls easier to add to the AE (i.e Vista Cruise). Also the paddle for the AE shifter looks like they have gone to the all push/ pull with the fore finger as the thumb push point is not below the horn.

Spoke to soon and my memory is not as good as I thought! The grips/heater on left side looks the same as on my 06. The shifter paddle does look a bit different but probably not a big deal.

Yeah, they do. CBS-ABS has been revised on how the rear brake works. Check the specs.

Well, let's see...bike comes out Dec 07, that means new body parts will be available around....August of 2008, right? Guess I'm repainting after all...was half-heartedly holding out to see if they offered a cool color worth just re-skinning the whole thing for, but now that I have a smuggler and a new S1 lid on the way, I'm probably just going to surrender to the arse-raping paint shop. Very disappointed, Yamadog...

Not really, if you think about it...

Just like the '07 was "Black" Cherry, in other words, a bastard (fugly) mix of black and red, a raven, the bird, is actually purplish-black...or is it blackish-purple...in other words, another gay-ass "not really black" just like the Black Cherry was "not really red". Fuckin' marketing weasles.

Huh? :blink: Then using the logic of your argument the '08 should be named Raven Mulberry or something, not just Raven.

Regardless, it's a cool but very impractical color unless your FJR is a garage queen or you live someplace where it never rains.
