What is a popular ambient air temp indicator commonly used on 1st Gen FJRs and where can one be acquired? How/where is it being installed? Pics?

If this has been covered, I apologize in advance for being a Search Luddite.

my thermometer is mounted with Radio Shack industrial grade sticky foam tape

top right with the sensor just under the dash plastic

it has a switch between a sensor in the screen and a remote sensor; I blacked out the yellow colored switch

Harbor Freight Digital Thermometer

hope this helps

Best of luck with ya Feejer ('04 is the best !!! )

I stick my finger up in the air, Accurate to within 15 degrees (most days)

Mike, Nawlins.. WTF is all that stuff on yer bike man.. WOW

When the weather rock is wet, it's raining.

When the weather rock is dry and bright, it's sunny.

When the weather rock is at an angle, it's windy.

When the weather rock is white, it's snowing.

I don't think there is a commonly used temp gauge for Gen Is. Check out This one. Stops working when it gets wet, but some people use them.

Another type

Stick on

I might get one of the three below. Easy to install, not too spendy, waterproof and shockproof, designed with motorcycles in mind.

Really nice waterproof stick on

Same in black for cheaper

Another face style

I definitely need the one that measures down to -58 F; this is Montana after all where the coldest temp ever recorded in the lower 48 occurred on Roger's Pass: -70F.

Thanks for the good tips.

My gawd...is this for real? The one on the far right looks like a DirecTV remote. Where's the dish mounted?

You ought to redo this picture with a cold one in the holder...Sierra Nevada green would match well.

I've seen the bike. Well, he's put that wart on the side of it that he calls an air horn since I saw it. It really does have all that stuff.

I think he thinks the front is too light when he twists the throttle, he's just weighing it down, see.

Thank you...thank you all...<I am a function over form guy that craves attention, 'specially on Friday>
Orion Driver huh

Well then you are OK

I ran the trouble-shooter shack in a Hornet outfit for a few years.. Was a fun job
Yeah, P3 drivers are a great bunch. We have several at work out in flight ops. Fun bunch of guys.

but I used to race Hobie Cats and the bike is more comfortable when the bars feel like a tiller

and I like to be upright and lean back against my Nelson Rigg Weekender that sits on the pillion seat
