    Pirelli Angel GT

I once replaced a front tire with an Angel because of lack of availability of PR-II's. I only got 2000 km out of the thing before it badly cupped. (I am very anal about checking tire pressure which remained constant through the time on) I will never ever buy these again. From my opinion they...

My Impressions of the MV Motorrad Bar Riser

DeltaKappaZeta: For these holes you use the 17 mm bolts (large bolts) that held your handlebars on. (The dome caps then cover these bolts). They also supply different bolts with a small screw on top which you will use to secure the handlebars on the new plate. (You might be missing these? )...

My Impressions of the MV Motorrad Bar Riser

Well I got my 1st bit of distance riding in today with the MV bar riser. It gets full marks from me! My problems began when I purchased a Sargent seat for the FJR. I am very happy with the seat but it did place me a bit farther back on the bike and as a result, I found that my wrists were...

Complete Illustrated Guide to Head Lamp Replacement

I can unequivocally say that both bulbs can be changed on a Gen II without removing panels, and in about 10 minutes. Thanks to the nice photo's on this post that had me knowing what to grope for. Oh, and I have chubby hands. On another note, I installed GE Nighthawk platinum bulbs, and in...

My Impressions of the MV Motorrad Bar Riser

At the recommendation of all of you, I ordered an MV plate on Friday and it arrived at my front door in Canada on Monday. (I was impressed I tell you) Will be installing it shortly.

K&N Air Filter long-term side effects

I actually sell filters for very large OEM manufacture, and thought I should throw in my 2 cents. I have seen very many instances where the K&N system has done a great deal of gumming up air ways, and even worse, damaging sensors on vehicles. K&N filters should in no way be considered an OEM...

    I did a search on this....really.

You are correct. I am in the oil & gas industry and have a client (a major oil company here in Canuckland) who packages oil. You would be absolutely amazed at whose bottles you see running down the fill line. Most of the oil companies you see around are marketing companies and not many package...

    Question about Cee Bailey windshield

QUOTE (Baz @ Feb 27 2009, 03:40 AM) I am 5'11" but ride with the seat in the high position on my 2006 FJR. The C Baily I have is a +4+2 and have a pretty decent picture here on how it compares to the stock (non touring Yamaha screen). I ordered the +4 thinking that if I found it too high, I...

Cee Bailey +4 +3 with flip impressions

Cosmin: I have the Cee Baily 4" + 1" shield with flip and my wife loves this screen. She tells me buffeting is none existant with it up. I am 5'11" BTW and I see no buffeting with this shield at about 3/4 in the up position. It would be perfect for your height.

    Ignition switch in Canada

Just go into any Yamaha dealer. When they type in your VIN number they have on record if the work was done or not. They will fix it for free even though you are not the origional owner. You don't need the letter to get the work done. I left mine at home when I brought the bike in.

    LED Tailights in standard size?

On my Bandit I went through this exercise and the only option I found where the LED's were brighter were if you went with a clear lense and then I bought some pretty heavy duty LED's. The end result was marginally brighter. Like someone said, "not worth the trouble".

Motorcycle Helmet Performance: Blowing the Lid Off

Being in the business of importing things to North America from our plants all over the world, I am going to throw this at you guys. When buying a lid, you may have a great deal of currency exchange & shipping involved in your purchase. This does not make the lid any better. So don't fall for...

The C Baily I have is a +4+2 and have a pretty decent picture here on how it compares to the stock (non touring Yamaha screen). I ordered the +4 thinking that if I found it too high, I could cut it down. So far I have left...

    What's wrong with my windshield

Funny you mention this. When pondering the $1900.00 Yamaha wanted for their Canadian version of YES, I spoke with the service manager at my dealer, and asked him what breaks on FJR's. He told me other than normal maintinance, the only thing that they have fixed on FJR's was the windscreen...
