I got the new battery in and it turns over like a champ. Still won't start........I think I'll load it up and haul it in.

Bike won't start, clicks very fast

I haven't gotten the new battery yet, but I'm sure that's what it is now. I put a smart battery charger on it and immediately got an error code of an open internal cell. The place I brought it to to have it tested must have just checked the voltage, not done a load test. New battery coming up

I can't say how they tested the battery. They brought it in the back, came out a minute later and said it was good. I don't remember the last time the battery has been replaced, it's probably due to be replaced anyway. I'll pick up a new battery today or tomorrow and give that a try.

Bike won't start, clicks very fast

Hoping someone can give some info. I have 2007 FJR, and it won't start. To start from the beginning, I tried to start it last week after winter storage. Somehow my battery maintainer got unplugged. The bike only turned over a few times before the battery died, but it turn over. I recharged...

    engine light coming on

After thinking about it for a while, I found it strange that I put 5k-6k miles on with the new exhaust, but without that light coming on. Then just after I bring it to the dealer for the 2 yr service the light comes on. Of course when I ask the dealer they don't know anything. I started...

    engine light coming on

Any idea what else it could possibly be? For now, I'm think I'm going to clear the code and see if it comes back.

    engine light coming on

It was not raining, in the beginning anyway. The second day it was, but i doubt that matters cause it started when the sun was out. Riding wasn't affected. I do not have O2 sensor plugged in at all. I installed a full muzzy exhaust system and a pc3 which tells me to unplug it. I read that...

    engine light coming on

Nope, it is the "Engine Trouble Warning Light" I went through the diagnostic steps, and code 32 shows up. Can anyone tell me what that means?

    engine light coming on

Is there a way I can check any codes that might be stored? I was on a ride last weekend and my check engine light would come and then a few miles later it would turn off. Then it would turn on again, then off. So on and so on. I just had it in to the dealership for the 2 yr maintanence and...

    sputtering

When I first got the bike I asked the service guy about that recall, read about it on here, and he told me it didn't apply. Well, after looking at the link it looked like my bike did apply. So I just called, talked to the service guy and sure enough, it applies to my bike. He told me that...

    sputtering

Does a powercommander adjust for elevation? I was in the mountains of montana and wyoming and my bike started sputtering and losing power. Then it would be fine for a while, then it would start again. I figured it was probably elevation, but then it did it a few time going through south...

service work with 905 bars on

Just in case, I think I'll take them off myself for what it takes. I only plan on bringing the bike into the dealer once every other year so it shouldn't be too bad of a deal. Actually it probably be a good idea to take them off and repaint them. The left side is full of stone chips from my...

service work with 905 bars on

I thought they had to come off for that stuff. Guess I better take a closer look.

service work with 905 bars on

I just got back from a trip going to glacier park, then to yellowstone, and back home. Put 3600 miles on in 7 days. Now my tires are shot, need to spark plugs, and a host of other maintanance work. I was thinking on rather than doing it myself this time I might just drop it off at the dealer...
