    Downsizing ...to a Guzzi

I “downsized” to a Triumph Bonneville. Still happy as fuck after 8 years with it. Just installed some Givi bags.

Upgrade 2006 FJR - Is there Something Better?

Nice. Your logic about keeping your FJR is spot on. oh and BTW, my brother in laws 2017 and 2007 Shelby GT 350’s. Have driven both. I like the looks of the ‘07 better, but the ‘17 is the one to drive. ;)

Givi bags on my Triumph Bonneville

Took 4 years, but now as I have time on my hands as I just got furloughed from work for the next 8 weeks, I finally fabricated some mounts to put the Givi Monokey bags on the bike .

H2 SX SE Sport Touring bike

Well even on the FJR I'd still stop for fuel every 100-120 miles, stretch my legs, etc. And to be honest, I never did compute what kind of gas mileage I got on it. I'm betting I got around 38 mpg. I did say the luggage "looked" small, they didn't mention capacity. First thing I'd get for it...

H2 SX SE Sport Touring bike

Sorry if this was already posted... But thoughts on the "Sport Touring" Kawasaki H2? Luggage looks small and no shaft drive but other nice amenities:

    The bike's steering "locked up"

Steering locked up? How? LOL. I honestly would have just countersteered more and if the bike did end up heading past the white line I definitely would have bailed. As for "laying her down"...that's what I hear most times when they are too embarrassed to say they panicked and locked the brakes...

Harley Busted by EPA for Screaming Eagle Tuners

Well thank God I can still buy different sized jets for my carb'd bike.... :)

    Snap Jack

Well, I went and ordered one from a local dealer. 53 bucks tax included. The only reason I can see for it is just to make oiling/cleaning the chain (and perhaps cleaning the wheel itself) easy. (Bonnie's have the chain on the right, so the bikes even leaning the right way) With sealed O ring...

    Snap Jack

Came across this today. Not sure how many of you have bikes without a center stand. But as my Bonneville came without one, (it is a 200 buck accessory) I've been looking for a (cheap) alternative to make lubing the chain easier.. Fairly brilliant idea, and portable: https://thesnapjack.com

    Kawasaki H2...R

Just to be accurate here, the H1 or Mach III 500 was called the "Widow Maker" ...I know cause I had two of them. The H2 or Mach IV 750 was called the "Wheelie King" .... If my old brain remembers correctly. The 750 handled better than the H1, which isn't saying much. I remember seeing an...

    Kawasaki H2...R

Not sure I agree about Honda. I don't think they have lost their vision since Soichiro left. I look back three decades I remember him saying that his "hope or dream" was for "Everyone to own and ride a motorcycle." Not sure if he meant just the USA or if he meant the whole world. But, if you...

    New bike shop in town

Yes, that be it. But it's Dave Clark's...... Drove by just a while ago....You'd think I'd remember the name. (Dave Clark Five..) Next time I stop by I'll snap some more photos. He said he wasn't going to be open this weekend due to some BMW rally. Sorry, no phone number yet.

    New bike shop in town

In the semi tiny town of Pacific, Missouri, the largest town close to where I live now a bike shop opened up recently. I figured it was just another Harley/Chopper kind of place. Stopped by there today to find the owner rebuilds/restores older BMW's. shop had about over a dozen older models...

Have you or will you be in an accident?

Hey all, howya all been doing? I'm turning 60 this year. I started riding at 16 and from when I was 19 to when I turned 28 I rode 24/7/365. No way to figure out how many miles I traveled but guess it was a lot. (At 28 I bought my first car) Never had an accident on the street. (Racetrack don't...
