Are motorcycle tires nail magnets?

where do you live and where do you work? what type roads do you ride? etc. I think likely your enviro may have something to do w/your problems.

40 miles northwest of Moose Jaw, Saskatchawan, wide open prairie country, trans-Canada highway; rear tire found what had to be the only nail in hundreds of miles. Yes, bike tires are nail magnets! :angry:

I had a flat on my rear Avon with 4K. I used a stop n go plug for 600mi then took the tire off and had a mushroom patch put in from the inside. Remounted the tire and rode it another 5500 miles!
