Arriving safe at home check-in

Hammer, Laurence and I made it back safely to Wichita, KS by about 2 PM. We saw quite a bit of rain in AR and Rt 71 in MO and then sporadically heading west through KS. We didn't see the sun until 50 miles from home.

Hammer had our FZ1 fuel lights coming on as we completed the last leg of 190 miles into Augusta.

It was great seeing everyone again and meeting some new folks. Friday was fantastic and Saturday was more of an underwater adventure.

Can't wait for SFO 2010!

Arrived home safe-2000 miles over 5 days with 4 days of rain. Rained from ES to Little Rock to Memphis to Birmingham and stopped near Atlanta.

Thanks again to Mike and Richard for the help with the tire on Friday.

Brian and I home safe this AM after stop in Jackson for the night.

Thanx Okie Dokie for the ride with 4 others on Fri.

1370 miles for moi and just drizzly on Sun taking 62/65 to Conway, then OK rest of the way to Jackson and threatening, but dry today Jackson to Nawlins'.

I'm taking dollar bills to purchase lottery tickets as suggested by EL TORO JOE

Got to Virginia this afternoon... rain on and off all the way.. Enjoyed SFO and putting faces to some names... when I left Sunday I took 23 north.. goes thru downtown and was like riding in a creek...water over and running down the road with trash, rocks, etc.. glad everyone has made it home alright..

Made it home Sunday afternoon with a little extra time to mow the yard. Even though it rained most of the time I had a great time.

Bambi and Bwana (the "B" is NOT silent) home safe and dry. Rain from ES to Texarkana, Texarkana to Conroe good. Had a GREAT time folks, dispite the weather. Even picked up some cool yard art on Saturday in ES.

BTW, Texarkana is not the place to stop on a Sunday afternoon. Turns out the Arkansas side is "wet" but can't sell booze on Sunday and the Texas side is "dry" and so doesn't sell booze anytime. I had to ride 20 miles south of the motel on Hwy 59 to get relaxation beers and a bottle of wine for dinner. The hole-in-the-wall I found in the first "wet" county was doing a booming business.

Plan ahead.....

Exhuberant Ron & I arrived home after rain in Arkansas. Texas turned sunny almost immediately after crossing the border!

Arrived home at 4 pm today. I pushed pretty hard and didn't stop to eat all day, was very sore by the time I got home. I hit rain 3 different times in AR and OK. Saw the sun for a bit outside of ES but not again until McKinney. Was colder than anticipated. Just seems wrong that I should need my heated gear in May. <_<

You found "Domino" in Cass county, the only place in Cass county the can sale booze on Sunday or any other time, everywhere else in Cass is dry. Dont know how that came to be, made many trips there in high school. You only have to be 18 to buy booze there, and most of the time you only needed to be able to walk in with money in your pocket.

Nowhere near home.

Susie and I rode to Tulsa yesterday, in and out of rain, spent time with her brother, and we're riding Rt. 66 back east. No rain today for the first time since I left on Thursday.

We are currently in Springfield, MO.

Saw the Blue Whale and World's Largest Totem Pole today. (Have fun with that one , Ray.)

Current plan is to be home on Friday. Hope to be around St. Louis tomorrow. RR to follow.

Jana and I pulled in Birmingham last night around 6:30 -- rained 8 of the 11 hours but no complaints here, as we made it safely. That is, after avoiding the 18 wheeler who tried his best to put us in the median around Tupelo. I guess he "didn't see us" despite the orange construction barrel looking safety vest we were wearing. BTW, thanks to Gary (winewhisperer) for escorting us to Memphis.

Great times and enjoyed meeting many of you! Many thanks to Michelle and the others for pulling it all together. The folks at the Best Western Eureka Inn were great as was the entire town. Awesome place for an awesome rally!

Jeff, glad you and J made it home ok. Michelle, Glad you finally decided to pull the cover off your bike and ride it, even if it was back to the house. :lol: Me, I headed north to Madison Wisconsin to see a buddy of mine. He rides a Triumph Sprint ST. We have been doin a beer tour of Wisconsin. :drinks: I did 658 miles from Eureka Springs to Madison in 10 hours. Needless to say my ass was sore by the time I got here. Probably going home Thursday or Friday. Lotsa miles back to Dallas, but beats going in to work.

Ran in rain like most of the others until we got close to Tx and then the rain let up for the last 3 hours.

SFO 09 rocked despite the weather.

Left Eureka Springs on Sunday at 7:15 AM, arrived in Memphis at 2:00 PM. Slept most of Sunday after arrival. SFO was GREAT.

Got home today at 5 pm without incident.Rode in rain all day Sunday, but the last 2 days were dry. Thanks Michelle for arranging this event. It was cool meeting other FJR riders at the rally. I wished that rain would have dropped down in Florida, not Arkansas :dribble:
