Free??? Cap

I thought you guys were kidding about the FJR1300 cap coming in the mail. I received the mysterious box with no markings other than my name and address in today's mail. I first checked for a ticking sound, (bomb, not a faulty valve seat) then wondered if someone had sent me a gift from a porn dealer. I slowly opened it with my wife looking over my shoulder and WOW, a free (with a $12,000 purchase) cap. :yahoo:

Just got mine today and must say for something "Free", it is pretty nice quality. Also checked the unmarked box, from San Juan Capastrano, for ticking as well wondering what junk some had sent me. Nice surprise!

Yes, this is my first Yamaha experience. I've had it for 2 months now and love every minute of it. :yahoo:

P.S. Somebody must think FJR1300 owners have big heads. I have to make my cap as small as possible but then it fits great and appears to be high quality.

I got mine today. Bought my '05 off dealer floor in late March. Hat came in the aforementioned brown bomb box, with a letter from Yamaha basically saying thanks for buying the bike and enjoy the hat on us. The color of the hat wouldn't match those silver bikes, so methinks them guys don't get one. :haha:

Well I never got a cap but I did get a 50th anniversary yellow and black visor from Laguna Seca given to me. Does that count?

WTF?!? I checked the mail today and instead of a cap, I got a freaking letter asking how my first service went. Somehow I feel I got the short end of the 'free Yammie stuff' bin.

Could someone describe the cap? Is it the basic dark blue FJR cap for 2005 or is there some special insignia, logo, or something else on it?
