So this happened to me on Halloween evening on my way home. I had a Left green arrow and a cager ran a red light. I stopped short of being T-Boned, but the bone head still managed to clip my front wheel and nose. I jumped off to get his info, but soon as the traffic ahead of him cleared, so did he.

All fingers and toes accounted for just fine. But now that it's time to move forward it won't start and just clicks and ABS light flashes.

Oh yea, I got a pic of his license plates as he drove off. This guys toast.

You could start an account at a site like Photobucket (it's free) CLICKY HERE, upload your pics, and you can post them to this site by simply clicking on the little star in the upper right hand corner of any picture you store there, then clicking "get links" then click "direct." That copies the picture into your computer just like when ya do a copy and paste. Now that the pic is pasted into your computer's temporary memory, you go back to this forum, begin typing a post, click on the little square green icon above this window (that you're typing in when ya post stuff) and click "paste." Then click "OK" (in the lower right hand corner), and bingo, your picture appears right below where you were typing and you're good to go.

Yeah, sounds like a good lawyer can do you some good, there. I would NOT post pictures of the car or owner, though, because you might get counter-sued over "defamation" issues (or some such), true or not. Hang out, low profile, and just rip their wallet open, at the right time. Go for the green, not for the glory (yet).

+1 for what AJ and infrared said. Hopefully there were other witnesses also who would be willing to corroborate the incident. Get your lawyer to rip the moron and his wallet to shreds!

He'll say he didn't realize he hit you. The criminal case gets appointed to a prosecutor. If you hire an atty that will be to deal with the civil side of things. The prosecutor can cover a lot of that in the criminal case in the form of restitution instead of a civil judgment. A restitution order in the criminal case has a lot more teeth because someone can be kept on probation until it's all paid off.

Once the criminal case is filed, make it a point to go meet with the prosecutor to make sure they don't cut a quick-and-dirty deal to just move the file off their desk. Let the prosecutor know you have damages and are going to bird-dog the hell out of the case every step of the way. That kind of pressure works. Take if from someone that did that job for 7+ years....
