The meet up point was Santa Margarita, CA for the Wed Barries Boyz ride, 08:30. 08:40 rolls up and only Brian L and myself are at the Porch Cafe.. WTFO?
Check email, and say whaaaat? "Ride cancelled due to rain!"
Now then, it's cloudy but sunny. Brian and I can't believe what wimps the other riders are. What's a little *possible* wet to scare off real men, real riders, those with big brass balls!
So we two intrepid riders had a GREAT day. 58 east to Bitterwater Rd (green and fresh asphalt too!) then to Parkfield (no stopping, closed until 2020!) then San Miguel, River Road to Atascadero for a wonderful Sylvesters burger. Brian headed home, I toured Garden Farms, Atascadero, then took the back roads to Creston, stopping to take pictures of Alan & Theresa Steven's old ranch along hiway 58.
We had a sprinkle or two, and that was it! The dark clouds and blue sky, with sunshine, made for good picture taking lighting.
Thanks to Brian for being a man's man and manning up to ride, LOL.
