I am removing the left side footpeg and curious what the correct size Torx bit is?

The one labeled "49 Nm (4.9 m-kg, 35 ft-lb)". It is right behind the shifter.

It seems to be a T-50. T-55 is too big. But my T-50 is just a little too loose for me to put 35 ft/lbs on it. I don't have a T-51,T-52, T-53 or T-54 to try, and I can't seem to find any ....

So. What is it? T-50? If so I'll just crank down on it and if I bugger it ... I sure as hell won't replace it with another Torx bold.

I use an impact driver with a T-50 to get the bolt loose.......

If things get really serious I bring out my air impact gun....

There are some fastener styles that it pays to buy quality tools for. Japanese phillips, Allen and Torx all perform better with good bits. Also, be absolutely sure that the bit is fully inserted into the screw head before applying force. The impact driver surely keeps the bits inserted into the screws!
