Problems With Locks

I have trouble with the lignition lock on the Feejer. The key doesn't want to go all the way down in the lock cylinder. I have tried lock lubricant with graphite, penetrating oil and lithium grease, all to no avail. Now the ignition lock on my Tour DeLuxe is starting to have a similar problem.

Are all Yamaha ignition locks junk or am I just extremely (un)lucky??? :angry:

Oh yeah, I'm sure. It's both keys and now on both bikes!! :dribble:

Hmmm, no alcohol involved, right? But seriously... I've been drinking & have no advice to offer you. This problem sucks... I have had similar experiences in the past. Best of luck meester!

Do you have a tank cover?

If so check the strap around the headstock

I had the same problem and nearly snapped the key - strap was covering the steering lock
