Hello all!
I have searched high and low and I cannot find the information I need!
I have fabbed a mouting bracket for my sirius unit which will utilize the right hand mirror hole by the brake res. I have a 2003, and the hole is tapped but I didn't realize until after I had finished the bracket that it is a reverse thread hole.
My question is: where can I get a bolt to fit this hole, or can I drill and retap this hole without breaking anything? I know I need a 10mm x 1.25 pitch reverse thread bolt. I cannot find one locally so I am wondering if drilling and retapping could be a better option.
Has anyone done this before?
Thanks in advance!
