Just rode from outside of St. Louis to Alcoa TN.

Just after checking in at the Holiday Inn, which by the way has motorcycle cleaning towels in the lobby, two fellow FJR's pulled in also. I will be hitting the tail of the dragon tomorrow.....can't wait!

Do it early or do it pretty late. The weekend is not a good time to be on that road.

Don't forget to ride the Cherohala Skyway.

Yep,

Do the Dragon as early as possible , then head to the Skyway, but make sure your gas is above 1/4 tank. No gas on the Skyway

Everyone should do The Dragon once in their life, but set your dreams much higher. There are hundreds of roads in the area with less traffic, less risk from others, and equal twisties.

Do yourself a favor when you plan a visit, and plan to adopt a local for guidance.
