Just to clarify for those who may tune in to this thread and miss the other, the 660 referred to by `someguy`was not a Zumo and is not waterproof.

The best screen of the lot was the GPSMAP 276c, unfortunately it doesn't support the present 'NT' series of maps. The 640 DOES, but is ridiculously expensive.

Bramfrank, can you please clarify what a "NT" series of maps is & why it's better than what can normally be used with a GPSmap 276C? I have a 276C, had it for several years & have had nothing but good luck with it & love how well it can be read in sunlight. I hope that it never dies. Yeah, like that'll happen.
