If anyone has been to the Barber Motorsports museum within the last year or so, could you tell me if there was a 2003 FJR on display ?

Yes. Thanks Ross.

When I dropped the bike off, I got a personalized tour of the grounds and track. We drove past a whole bunch of little buildings and containers. The docent told me that they were full of bikes.

Unless you get a response here, I would suggest sending them an email asking if it is currently on display (or when it might be). I expect that they have more bikes than places to display them. They must have some sort of rotation through the museum floor. I would hate to see potentially hundreds of old classic bikes in semi-permanent dead storage.

I have watched several videos of people who have been through the museum and didn't see one on display. I watch for that stuff very anxiously. Hopefully you can get a response from them.

I was there 15 years ago. Even then the place was full. I don't know where they might display additional bikes.

From the website:
BVMM will not take custody of or become responsible for property that does not satisfy all aspects of the following acquisition conditions:
...2. Display of acquired cars, motorcycles, memorabilia, etc., will be at the discretion of BVMM based upon the content of the various topical displays installed in the museum. Collections objects may be used for exhibition, study, research, loan, examination, or deaccession.
3. Agreement that the BVMM owns the property free and clear and has the right to exhibit, restore, store, or deaccession it in any way that BVMM would see fit.

The FJR is probably in storage.

Funny you bring this up as I remember you donated your FJR and think about it when I have been there. Haven't seen it yet including this October while at SFO.

The search function on their website shows one FJR1300 and it is a 2003 model year.
They also list an FJ1100, a FJ1200 and a FJ110N as part of their collection.
No photos or display status.

That's a 92 to 96: FJ1200A (with ABS). Probably a 92 because it was dropped from the US lineup in 93.

Much of what they have is not on display. On the website they say that about 900 bikes are on display at any given time, of the over 1600 that they have.

I was there one day when the bottom floor was actually open to visitors, and the door to the warehouse area was open, although we were not allowed in there, we could lean in and peek.

That's what I was gonna say! My guided tour last summer included a peek into the non-display bike area you pictured. There may even be some storage off-site, too. I was personally disappointed they didn't have a stock Hodaka Ace 100 on display -- although they did have a highly modified desert racer without the chrome tank.

When I was there in 2013 I seem to remember seeing an FJR on display, but I can't find a picture of it, so I may be wrong.
