    Yes, Gen II Bin-O-Facts Post 1 Oil Filter Info is where I was looking. The PL14612 Filter now in the (Pending Review and Update due to recent manufacturing change 3/3/16) with a line through it. Thanks

    After reviewing the Gen II Bin O Facts I purchased some Purolator PL14612 oil filters.(Thought I would same some money) I have used this filter in the past and it worked OK. on my 2005 and my 2011. I recently changed the oil and filter, torqued the filter to 12 lb ft, and went for a test ride...

    oil level

    My 05 did and my 11 does the same thing. Has never caused a problem. Google " oil level high fjr1300" and you will get plenty to read.

    2005 Totaled - Replaced with New 2011 - Top Box Question

    Thanks for the concern and the reply. Will purchase the 11 mounting plate and use the 05 top box painted to match. When I mounted the 05 top box on the 05 bike I had to drill the plastic, it looks like that will not be required with the 11. Is this a correct assumption?

    Replacement rubber

    Last 3 sets have been Diablo Strada, great tire for me. Just purchased a set of Angel ST, Motorcycle Super Store $273. Putting them on tomorrow. Will update when I get some miles on them.

    Gas Mileage

    I use my 05 to commute daily, 50 miles round trip. I ride year round, unless there is snow or ice on the roads In the cold weather (15° - 40°) I get 37-38 MPG. In 41° to 75° I get 38-40 MPG and 76° to 95° I get 40 - 43 MPG. I haven't ever had a tank get over 43 MPG. Sure would like to be one...

    Metzeler Z6 Wear Bars

    Just put a set of Z6's on my 05. Here I thought emblem was a Chicken and the lines were chicken strip indicators. Guess I was wrong, now I will know where to look for the wear bars.

    Fred must have had a change of heart. Latest edition of Indiana Auto & RV has an ad from Chicago Cycle: New FJR-13 - $0 down - Sale $10499. Picture in ad is the Dark Cherry bike. Didn't bother to call am happy with my 05.

    Closest to stock

    2005 with 19,000 miles. Only farkle is moto sliders. Thought about a new seat but procrastinated long enough the OEM seat doesn,t hurt me any more.
