    '13 - Up Bin-O-Facts (Generation III)

As others have said, it's not too bad to get to. Just use a small screwdriver. I was able to just use a screwdriver bit from my ratchet set and turn it with my fingers. Here are Cylinders 1 and 2. The rear of the bike is to the right. Cylinders 3 and 4. I had to move the wire bundle out of...

Cool. It looks like it will work with the Givi SR357 rack, as well.

    Sidi Armada Boots

I had the Sidi Sport until my crash last year. This year I looked at the Armadas, but ended up with the Sidi Canyon GoreTex. The main reason I shied away from the Armadas was because they seemed a bit "gadgety". You have to get through 2 layers to get your foot in. At 4 A.M. getting suited up...

FZ1 mirror install on a Gen III Spacer needed?

Link You do not need any extra spacers. You just need to pull the spacer from the original mirror. When you pull the original mirror off, look at the two studs at the base. You should find a black rubber pad. Pull this off and put it on the new mirrors.

    New PIAA Slimline Sports Horn

I've had them on my old miata. Not a bad set. But most importantly, much louder than the original. Glad they worked for you.

    Canyon cages

If the bike just falls over on level ground, the canyon cage should be it. However, if the bike keels over downhill like mine did, the bike will tip forward, pivoting on the cage. Upper Edge of the lower cowling (think where the battery sits) and the lower front edge of the mirror is the...

    FZ1 mirrors on a Gen3

Here's what they look like. They push the mirrors up and out. I can actually see behind my trunk. No more elbows and having to move my head over to see behind. However, the mirrors appear to be a bit shorter and therefore the image is not as wide vertically.

    FZ1 mirrors on a Gen3

Since I haven't seen anyone post about it... I spent the 15 minutes to replace the mirrors on my Gen3 with the ones from an FZ1 to try to be as cool as you Gen1/2 guys. Studs fit fine. However the indent in the cowl is looking a bit funny. Here is a side by side shot of how the base looks...

End of the road for my FJR

Sorry to hear. I hope you get better soon. I had an OL (old lady) decide to make a right turn from the middle lane last Dec. I, too, was saved by ATGATT. I can't believe the amount of haggling I had to do with the insurance company over the price of the bike. Sheesh. But I get the...

    Canyon Cages Arrived

I had the same problem identifying the bolt. I eventually found it after holding up the guard up to the bike. If you line up the front bolt and the umbrella nut, you can see where it is. It took me about 1.5 hours to put all 4 parts on.

    Apple Macbook Air or Pro

FYI, the retina MBPs are not upgradable after the fact as the RAM and SSD is solder directly onto the board. The non-retina MBP use the 2.5" SATA HDD and common SDIMM sticks and therefore one may replace them with 3rd party parts. OWC is another good source. We've been using both RamJet and...
