529 miles and a lot of it on slippery clay, that my friends is a long day ... in my case it would take a lot of gin.

Chicken to Carmacks is a long day since it also includes the Top of the World Highway and 50 miles of dirt but I think the total distance is closer to 330 miles...which is certainly a full days ride in those conditions.

We promised the ladies quality time at Liard Hot Springs, so a couple of short days in front of us to make that work out. Then we point home and turn the dial up a bit on miles.
Who's house is the ride report presentation being presented at and who's bringing the popcorn?

It was about 110 miles of gravel from Chicken to end of the top of the World Highway.

I have some video when I get a chance and better band width to put up.

So, is the Campbell Highway on the agenda?

No too much gravel and not enough time

Had to stop at Yukon Yamaha and gets new rear tire since my was used earlier in the trip.

Not too bad $331 US we were able to pull the wheel, get them to mount and balance within an hour. Otherwise we would have to wait until the mechanic got back from lunch in a hour and a half.

$331 for a rear tire in the Yukon is a good deal. I paid $400 in Prince George four years ago. The current exchange rate must really help.

Each year there is a lottery to pick 400 people who get to drive/ride all the way into Kantishna (beyond Wonder Lake) over a four day period. My wife won a spot in 2011, but was unable to use it. I did the good husband thing, sucked it up and rode in there myself. No sacrifice too great!
This kind of sounds like when my ex-wife won the elk tag lottery in Montana. I did the good husband thing, sucked it up and shot the elk for her. No sacrifice too great.

Now back to your regular scheduled program and hot springs.

It can't be too bad if nekkid ladies are relaxin outside...

They sure are having an adventure...

...but there is no Effen way I would ever want to ride one mile on wet slimy clay, let alone a whole day. Gawd no.

I would rather ride all day on soft gravel down a 20% incline than do that.

Kudos to them...SALUTE!

Probably too late now, but you can get a refund of the VAT at the border.

We paid $400 CDN for the tire, but the dollars were just about equal in value back then.
