John, Where did you get that map? I'd like to start one for my FJR.

Where the hell were you guys? I met rex and his buddy tanner. Saw a couple other feejers there but that was it. Them coppers doing the team stuff were nuts......way to close for my comfort. That takes some nutsack.......or, "batwing".....as tanner would call it.

Odot, we were watching the cops negotiate the timed course. Then I went to lunch and came back while it was raining and watched the relay race on the timed course when it dried up.

I need a recommendation on a shop in the mid-cities area. I went down last Saturday and banged up the bike pretty good. I did manage to make some repairs in Muenster and ride it home and aside from the steering being a little tweaked, it seemed in pretty good shape all things considered. Regardless, I need to start the insurance process and was hoping to hear some opinions on shops to consider or avoid.

The closest respectable place would be stadium yamaha. Never had much work done there cept for maybe changing tires. They always treated me good, though.....others think highly of them, too. What all did you damage?

The cowling/upper fairing on both sides, both mirrors, saddlebags. I had sliders on there so the lowers are fine. engine cover has a small leak too.

Ya know.....if you are going to let insurance handle it.....any yamaha shop would work fine. I believe there is another respectable shop in the garland area that does good work....told to me by a yamaha shop owner in oklahoma city.

edit: Don't have any personal experience having work done on my scoot as I usually repair the stuff I broke by myself.

From my recent experiences, i can no longer recommend my local Yamaha shop. I had it on a good word that Stadium is the place to check out. So that would be a +1 to ODot's recommendation.

I bought my Bike from Stadium and they are our sponser for Chapter # 206 of the star riding and touring and have nothing but praise for them on my part and from what I have heard from other members that have had work done there they have been very happy. Best of luck

I ended up talking to the folks at Stadium and really think they would have done a great job. Unfortunately, the bike was declared a total loss. Now waiting to pick up an '08 from Tony O in December.

I guess Stadium is the best bet for a 27K valve check and the TPS recall I hate to have done. I live so close to NT Yamaha but the service dept. does not look competent anymore. Suggestions ?

It doesnt take much for that bike to be totalled when the average cost of one panel is over 400 bucks and to replace all that plastic is over half the cost of the the bike!It will make one nice track bike!
