Audovox throttle connection and reservoir size

I had some issues with the screw I used to attach the beaded chain to the tang. The screw was hitting the idle stop, causing the bike to idle at approx 2500rpm. Drove me nuts. Of course, it was my fault for drilling the hole too low on the tang. So what I did was use the shorter looped...

    rpm adjustment after cruise

Without seeing a picture of your specific setup, it's kinda tough to say.. but if I were a bettin man, I'd venture to say the piece that connects the tang and the AVCC is hitting the stop the tang rests on. I know this, because I had the exact same problem. One thing you can do is gently force...

Bleeding brakes, and now rear won't hold pressure

Well, another trip to my garage...bled the center nipple.. and who woulda guessed... my brakes are like new again!! Thank you so much for your quick response. This was my first time bleeding with linked brakes, so i didn't even think to check the front. Didn't even notice that center nipple...

Bleeding brakes, and now rear won't hold pressure

Well, I'm about to have an Ahh-ha! moment! So, I take it I build pressure in the rear, then bleed the front right?

Bleeding brakes, and now rear won't hold pressure

OK. I'm loosing my mind here. Hopefully some of you can help. I bled the front brakes on my '06 first and everything went fine. But here's the problem. I went to bleed the rear, and committed the ultimate sin. I emptied reservoir my mistake. So I refilled it, and pumped out what I thought...

    McCruise

I agree. I did the AVCC install on mine. While it was a HUGE pain in the ass, 3 day project, it now performs perfectly every time. And the install really isn't that hard after the first time you do it. I think with the switches I bought to replace the Audiovox control panel and misc...

    Yep, another AVCC thread..

OK. The good news: Idle is fixed. Bending the tang a bit fixed it. The bad news: CC still won't engage. I removed the aux vacuum tank thinking that may be the problem..still no luck. The LED acts as it should under all the tests I've done (switch tests and rev the engine=light blinks...

    Yep, another AVCC thread..

Yeah, been in situations like that. Well here's where I'm at now. I think it was the beaded chain connector hitting the idle stop. I suspect this because I have a power commander on the bike and noticed that when I turned on the ignition, the second to button led was lit, indicating that the...

    Yep, another AVCC thread..

Just checked it, and the LED does light up steady both with the brake lever and the set button..

    Yep, another AVCC thread..

After sleeping on the problem, I suspect that the idle problem could be either a vacuum line or the button head screw on the tang as well. These will be the first things I check. I'll check the connectors as well..didn't think about that one. I have a stock brake light setup, so pretty sure...

    Yep, another AVCC thread..

Well, finally set aside a day today, and installed the AVCC. I've done so much research on this project, but I haven't seen this project just yet. (Quick side note..for those interested in this project, I've saved all the pages on this site to "My Favorites"on my laptop and plan to post the...

    AVCC power on/off logic

Thanks BrunDog.. you made me glad I got my tank off today, took a look at everything, and decided this was a project best left for another day. I did however, order the switches, which will allow me some more time for research. It seems people are making this install seem harder than it needs...

    Front wheel install

OK.. thanks for the quick reply. So I'll tighten the axle bolt even futher onto the axle nut.

    Front wheel install

So my long day of maintance begins to include front wheel alignment, ais removal, and topped off with an AVCC install. This, the first of probably many questions today is: My bike was tracking to the left when I released the handle bars, and I read on here to re-torque everything. So I've...
