    I haven't been here for a while

Hello to the group. I've been a very negligent FJR owner who hasn't even looked at the board for several years. I live in Walla Walla, WA now & own a 2008 AE model which I love. In 2004 I bought a new 2005 FJR & put over 30,000 miles on it. I sold it due to attorney costs from a nasty...

    FJR vs. Super Tenere question

You can add me to the list of an owner of both bikes. I bought a new 2005 FJR. I loved the bike but sold it for financial reasons. (read divorce). In 2012 I purchased a new 2012 S-10. It's still the bike I ride when I go solo. It has a comfortable riding position, plenty of power, & can...

Big Hit in Eastern Wyoming, Healing the Weeks After a Get Off

So sorry to hear of your accident. I was wondering what had occurred. I hope you have a speedy recovery. You were the first guy I met who owned an FJR after I bought my first one. You've logged a lot of miles since then!

2009 Gen 2 OEM Seat - like new

Gosh. I've got a seat set in my garage collecting dust off on my 2008. They too look like new. I'd sell them for $150.00 you pay shipping.

    AE shifting question

I've had my 2008 AE since last November. I had a regular tranny 2005 FJR & put over 30,000 miles on it so I was familiar with FJR's I too thought you just shifted without letting up on the throttle until I read the owners manual. Now, I shift so seamless you don't feel much change. I don't...

Test rode BMW R1200RT today - impression

I started looking for a more road oriented bike last fall. My Super Tenere has been a great bike & suits me really well for the type of riding I usually do. I still ride it the most often. But after owning an FJR & C-14 Concours I really missed owning a touring bike. The search began. My...

    Airhawk or gel?

I recently bought an Airhawk for my wife & it helped a lot but then I snagged a used set of Corbin seats from member Brodie & after a 4 hour non-stop ride last weekend we're very happy with the Corbin seat. I had one on my 2005 FJR & also liked it then. They may feel a bit hard for some people...

    Powerlet plug issues

Thanks for the info guys. I'll check the soldered ends. The previous owner said he also used Gerbing gear but don't know how much he used them. If I can't figure it out I'll probably just take the Super Tenere. I bought the FJR for the longer trps but the Tenere rolls down the road just...

    Powerlet plug issues

Last fall I bought a used 2008 FJR. The previous owner had installed three Powerlet outlets on the bike. Earlier this spring, my wife & I took a 300 miles round trip in cool weather. Our Gerbing gear did not work. I came home & plugged our Gerbing controllers into my Super Tenere & they both...

***SOLD*** Corbin seat - Driver and Passenger ***SOLD***

Ok Brodie I'm confused. In your PM I thought you said they fit Gen I only. If they fit my 2008AE I'll take them otherwise I'll pass.

I went to an air show. I brought my camera.

Great shots! Being a general aviation pilot since 1973 I enjoyed the F-33 pictures myself. It reminds me of when Bob Hoover used to do aerobatics in his Shrike Commander. I've flown Stearmans with the original 220HP. I can't imagine how much of a handful the 450HP is!

FS Gen I Russell day long

Oops. I had a brain fart & forgot my 2008 was a Gen II.

WOW. My 2008 trade-in is still sitting on showroom floor....

When dealers take in a trade it's always challenge to give the person trading in a good deal while getting it cheap enough to be able to re-sale it. I know because of my occupation as a John Deere salesman. Farmers are an independent lot by nature & not always easy to negotiate with. At...

    Cee Bailey windsheild report

My wife & I took a 350 miles test ride to try out the new Cee Bailey 2 + 2 reverse flip windshield & general comfort of the bike. It was a lovely sunny 68 degree weather with no wind which is rare in Eastern WA this time of year (meaning no-wind). First the windshield. For me it was perfect...

    It's all mine.

Good job! Few things are as beautiful as a shinny new FJR. I missed my 2005 FJR so badly I picked up a second one last November. This time a 2008.

Thanks for the advise guys. You're all correct I ordered off the form on the website. I guess I should make the call. Nobody offered opinions on just buying a Sargent.
