I have connected the phones to both units and they work like a champ....but.....i cannot get the q2s to pair with each other so i can use the intercom feature with my little lady...i am doing it by the book what is the secret?

The manual asks for you to pair the Q2s (Rider and Primary Buddy) first, then in the following steps it says to pair to a mobile phone. Dunno if it MUST happen in this sequence or not. I followed these 5 steps and our Q2s paired just fine, but we paired the Q2s together first. At what point does the following go wrong?

PRIMARY BUDDY PAIRING (requires two scalarider Q2 headsets)

1. If either headset is turned OFF, turn it ON by pressing and

holding the CTRL Button until the Blue Light flashes three

times.

2. Make sure that both headsets are now flashing slowly in Blue.

3. Pick up one headset and simultaneously press and hold the

CTRL Button and MC Button for at least six seconds until the

Red Light begins flashing rapidly, indicating it is in Intercom

Pairing mode.

4. Repeat Step 3 again for the second scala-rider Q2 headset.

Both headsets should now be flashing rapidly in Red.

5. Within a few seconds, both headsets will show a solid Red

light for two seconds, and then begin flashing slowly in Blue.

If this isn’t working for you, you need to email or call Scala and they will get you talking in no time – for better or worse ;)
