I'm in the process of buying a triple clamp from Don in Canada. He pointed out that while ordering his Heli clamp he had to get the Canadian/Euro spec version - they do have a different ignition system than the US version.

Did a quick search of online parts fiches from the US and Canada and they showed the same part # for the stock clamp. Anyone know if there is a difference between the stock clamps?

The European version (I believe it's the same for Canada) has a larger hole in which to mount the ignition switch. This is due to the immobiliser that is fitted to the Euro version.

That's what we thought. Thanks!
