I have a 2008 (Black) FJR and have been thinking about putting high visibility stickers and such on the the bike. I have the reflective stickers on the luggage already. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with stickers on the side or elsewhere on the bike?

Thanks,

Shag

I've got those reflective decals on the back and sides of the panniers, and am currently working on putting something similar on the fairing, just where the lowers attach to the upper bit. I'm fabricating a metal template, so I can cut the 3M reflective tape accurately, and will be cutting a couple of holes in the tape where the fairing screw heads go. I'll post pics when I'm done.

I also wear a Shark Evoline Moovit Lumi, which has reflective stripes, and my mesh jacket also has reflective stripes. I just can't bring myself to wear day-glo total outfits...

I have the reflective decal adhesive that goes on the bags.

Then I have a around the body LED in white on my 2008.

They keep you seen at all angles.

I found out as a bonus when riding to ND, through corn country they keep the bugs flying low, and not at your windshield and helmet.

Kinda like this...

That is my set up. It is great for daytime stealth and night time visibility. I sourced mine from real time industries. They weren't expensive so I'm not sure why you would make your own?

I have white reflective tape on the legs wrapping around the front and sides, mainly to enhance visibility when the bike is backed into a parking space. There is another square of feflect-o tape on the side flat metal strut just above the pegs for the same purpose. WBill

I noticed these were made for the Gen II . Does the Gen I and Gen II share the same side faring? Looks good and perfect for covering previous owner scratches.

Thanks for the advice... I bought and installed the Real Time industries reflective stickers like escape... they are sublime. I also added some 3M DayGlo take to the rear fender and seat back for visibility from the rear. I will post a picture soon.

Do any of these sets fit the 2013 . . . or is it a cut your own operation for now?

Haven't seen any for the '13 yet. IIRC you can buy the bulk sheets from Real Time and make your own. I'm considering doing just that for another bike that I'd like to do.

Looking forward to the pic!

Get the August issue of Motorcycle Consumer News, or check out www.golunasee.com. For $200, you can make your rims glow in the dark. It's pretty slick.
