RAM ball specs

I sent the following question to the guys at https://www.cyclegadgets.com/contact.asp a few weeks ago. The phone number listed on their website is constantly busy. Does anyone happen to know the diameter of the RAM ball on the products listed below? Are all of the RAM ball products the same diameter? Thanks for any info. you may have.

I have the Garmin Nuvi 200. The stock cradle is basically the female end for a RAM ball. What are the dimensions of the RAM balls on the RAM-HB1 and RAM-HB2? The stock cradle female end RAM ball acceptor is about 13/16 of an inch (little more than 2 cm) across.

Not sure if this answers your question but copied from the Ram monuts web page there different sizes but it by the weight they are required to carry..

9. How much weight can the different ball sizes support?

1” ball mounts = 0 to 5 pounds

1.5” ball mounts = to 10 pounds

2.25” ball mounts = 10 to 15 pounds

If you call the folks at RAM, they will ask where the mount will be installed as this greatly influences the amount of weight that can be supported. In mobile applications which RAM is perfect for, the above weight limits are a safe guide.
