As evident by all who have posted, Don is leaving a huge hole in all our hearts. You will be missed my two-wheeled brother.

Losing Don is a big loss, hard to accept upon seeing the thread title. A motorcyclist in the truest sense of the word.

Hard to do a late lurk and find this news. Too many losses in the last ten years. RIP Don - you will be well remembered.

A little late to the news, but devastated nonetheless. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have ate, drank ridden, and conversed with the legend.

His banter and large personality on this forum is already missed.

RIP Beemerdons.

My condolences to his family.

Does anybody have info about services for Don? Should have thought of this before now, but I'd like to at least send flowers if they're doing that. Or maybe they've requested support for a cause or charity? Any of you Facebook users see anything about that? (FB illiterate, myself.)

I just spoke with Donna and she is devastated. I told her of the huge outpouring of love and support on this forum and that some requested an address. She was OK with me posting her address up here if anyone wishes to send cards or flowers.

Let's flood her with cards so she can see just how much Don was cared for on this forum.
Here's where to send a card, mine will go out in the morning.

I'm in touch with folks who would know about memorial services, etc. and will pass on the info when it comes through.

One of my fav pics with Don was one of his. He's in it but I don't remember who took it. I saved it to my computer but my computer blew up. I looked for the thread it was in but couldn't find it. Then remembered I used it in a video. So I edited the pic into this mini-movie. It was at SWFOG Taos NM in 2010. We are somewhere in Co. near chama where the Cumbre & Toltec train makes a stop.

It has taken me several days to process all this. I met Don in person only once, at the Sparks Shindig in 2014. We only spoke briefly there, I had an opinion of him from reading his posts, boy was I wrong. When I decided to do the Black Hills Roundup Don offered much wise counsel and sage advice. He even managed the attendance list until his unfortunate crash. I was so looking forward to actually getting to really talk to him in Red Lodge in June. I'm feeling like a lesser man for not being able to have that chat. R.I.P BeemerDonS

Even though I live in Seattle I had the good fortune of riding with Don twice. One of those times was along the Coronado Trail. It was a privilege to ride with Don on one of the most scenic roads in Arizona. I was a member Mexico DS ride in March 2015. The idea was to see Mexico though Don's eyes. He loved riding in Mexico.

Don broke his shoulder one month before the trip and we were all bummed about that. Brian Boles brought along a dammit Don doll we all abused it one way or another just honor Don.

I was looking forward to riding with Don again but now the privilege has been cruelly taken from all of us as well as his personality on the forum.

I have shed many tears over the past few days. Don was a warm, wonderful and caring sole who will be deeply missed by many.

My condolences to Seth and Ms Donna.

I never met him in person, but I lived a little more, vicariously, through his adventures recalled here, and consider the world a little less fun without him.

My favorite Hunter Thompson quote applies to the Beemerdons I imagine I knew:

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”

Wow, I am shocked to learn of Beemerdon's passing. Thought it was another joke until I opened the posting. Being a relative new member here I have not had the chance to meet anyone yet. I have read many of his posts and always enjoyed his banter and input. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Not dogging you out (seriously, not) keep an eye on this subforum, and put a couple hours in the saddle to meet a few of us. Change that last sentence.

Oh God, I have nothing profound to say.

I feel like I've lost a best friend, even though we only met a few times.

His larger than life forum persona was quickly shown to be a slight exaggeration when you met the "real" Don.

He was a warm, loving, and caring person who would give you the shirt off his back, or the motorcycle in his garage.

I'm only slightly comforted by knowing that wherever he is, the place just got REALLY lively.

Ride on, Don, and save us a seat.

You know, of course, Don would be really pissed to have thought everyone would get all maudlin because of his death. I think he would prefer that we all tried to come up with some colorful jokes about the Irish.

^^^^^^^ Bought a bottle of Bushmills for the weekend and spilled some last night in his honor. Wasn't sure if that was his label, but the tequila went quickly and I'm sure he enjoyed all labels of tequila.

His shoulder is no longer bothering him, and I wonder if there are K-bikes in heaven.
