Dueling Banjos II (from Bugnatr) - Lost Coast via Shelter Cove -This does have a couple short gravel sections or can be bypassed by not going through Ettesburg but going Mattole Rd. via the Humbolt Redwood State park. - 8 hrs, 289 mileshttps://goo.gl/maps/7KXZQtivSEkb2ZsU7
Mendocino Pass (from Bugnatr) - This one is for ADV bikes and is a monster but can be done with an early start. About 30 + miles of easy gravel forest road and includes elevation to almost 7,000 feet. - 9 hrs, 275 mileshttps://goo.gl/maps/eExGUsD15VguC9wz5
WARNING: There are a lot of pot farms in Mendocino County so beware if you go offroad from the beaten path into nowhere. Folks who run these farms take their businesses very seriously and are extremely wary of strangers.
Glass Beach - not a lot of glass left but if you're diligent, you can find some (but don't take it with you!)
Drive Thru Tree - right near the junction of 1 and 101, always a great photo opp!
The Peg House - right near the junction of 1 and 101, great burgers!

Thought I'd start throwing out some road porn to get all y'all excited... there will be more... :D

Orr Springs Rd

Sections of Hwy 1 between Fort Bragg and Leggett

I've done those as well. Another good one is Mines Road from Pleasanton to Junction and then from there to Mt. Hamilton and down to San Jose. You will not fall asleep on that route.
Tyler, what's all the fuss about twisty roads? Up here on the Prairies we put our bike on autopilot and wake about an hour later when we come to our first curve. Here are pix from our Nakusp trip last year, middle Saskatchewan. Looking west, north, and east. Even our gravel roads don't have curves haha. You guys and your curves... sounds like alot of unnecessary work..
;) ... enjoy your trip guys. Sorry we won't be able to make this one. Looks like it's going to be a blast.

We'll miss the group by 6 weeks! But looking forward reading/absorbing all of this information for our motorcycle ride from Maine. Thanks. Looking forward to my first trip to your coast since 1985!
Gregory and Pocahontas are heading to Willis on Friday for the Skunk Train Wolf Tree Turn.
