Just for the record, KJ, I originally told you I would be at Snowshoe(The Fiddlehead) at 1200. You texted me that you would be there at 1230 Friday morning before I left home. I pulled in at 1158. I was hungry, so I had a sandwich at Subway. I then moved the bike down to the Fiddlehead parking lot and waited. My first three hours were in and out of rain. As I sat there I saw another ominous looking front coming. I had my GPS on and said I would wait until it said 1300. As soon as it did,I pulled out. Sitting for an hour was enough for me. I would have sent you a message, but Snowshoe falls under the "Green Bank" communication blackout effect. As it turned out I still got caught in a little more rain, but then enjoyed a great ride in.

So on Friday a small group of us were touring SE Ohio kinda laidback like...and stopped for a bite to eat.

We get back on the bike and Petey yells "Yo!, yer rear tire ain't lookin' good bro!"....so I says to myself, "Cool. I will check out and repair said rear tire with the help of my friends."

This is the help they gave me...with a little personal momento of kindness from Marty...

Marty did look for a tire repair app on his phone

The locals were a-say'n...

"Good Gawd Martha, there's a guy out there in his underwearz!"

Had a great time - thank you KJ for putting together a pretty darn good weekend!!

My Zumo 660 decided to take a vacation, so I did a little prototype testing for Garmin - here's a peak at the next big thing in motorcycle navigation - this thing is super reliable, always on and dead accurate!!

The new Garmin Zumo 1000...

K.J. did you get an itch after eating that Homewrecker? Could be the poison ivy in that tree right next to the picnic table. Anyway, hope you enjoyed that dog twice.

Very clear and concise but it appears to need a little more development in the IPX7 water proof rating :) This Zumo 1000 would have failed miserably for our trip down on Thursday!

I have heard thru the grapevine that IPX7 is currently available under a relatively obscure brand name called Zip-Loc or something like that..........

So Tom...what was their reaction when you informed them of the poison ivy?
She smiled in her endaring bleached blond toothless way and remarked, "well isn't that special".

Since the numbness in my hands has somewhat subsided, and it seems I can somewhat sense the feeling coming back to my fingers, I thought I'd give everyone my take on the weekend. Despite EL Toro Joe's best efforts to kill me on the way down to The Beealsville Dinner on Fri. morning, and then FJRAY, Gray Ray, PittsburgFJ, his kid Trevor, trying there darnedest to drop me off the back, I managed to arrive safely Fri. evening in 1 piece.

Sat. Was a completely different story though, now I had not only the aforementioned crazies to deal with, they thru Denny into the mix.

So not only did I have to stay focused to stay alive, Denny took us out for the (literally) ride of a lifetime. As everyone who was fortunate enough to have been there, with the weather being as it was, the guys I rode with, and the roads we enjoyed, and the speeds we were going, I find it amazing that I was able to make it back in one piece. And if that wasn't enough my Crazy Brother thinks making one last blast up 676 to 555 would be a fitting end to a (what was probably the best riding day of my life) so off we went, up and back at breakneck speeds. Sun. We were off to see if they couldn't finally kill me for the last time, but as you can all see I'm still here to type this and ride again. Just a little side note: I've come to the only conclusion possible, that it has to be attributed to my incredible skills, honed to a razors edge, over years and years, and hours and hours of physical training. I'm sure those who know me would agree with my assessment. That being said, I was able to put about 1150 miles on the ticker, It seems (Chitty- Chitty-Bang-Bang) is still up for another weekend of abuse, hope all of you get a chance to come down here again before fall comes.

Nope, no reactions. I brought along some medicinal remedies just in case I got some Hillbilly itch.

The habanero peppers were mild on that Homewrecker as well, no barbed wire in the morning. Easy Peasey, the 6min challenge is in store for next year.

6 minutes? That is just to eat the half right? They give you 12 minutes for the whole thing and the record is 2:52!
